Fed's Fix It
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 13 ม.ค. 2023
A old retired Guy that amuses myself fixing things that I have absolutely no Idea about, If you have nothing to do and your bored watch me talk myself through different projects and repairs.
Don’t take what I say as gospel because I’m probably only half right most of the time 😉
The videos will get better as I figure out what I’m doing with this editor thing.

I am currently sitting in one of these chairs looking for options when I found this video. Thanks!
I would go through that just to get that bottle 👍💯😉 Cheers 🥃😂
That's alcohol abuse!
Should have listened to 2ur parents when they said brush ur teeth b4 bed & b4 school😂👉👌👍🍻
It has to do more with 60 pluse years of use..lol
I have the same problem: What is the name of the part you replaced the gray plastic
Motherboard. All parts were covered under warranty. Call Rheem
Flax seal.
Had a mouse do the exact same thing to my f250 plow truck !
I love Greenfield village BEAUTIFUL EVERYTHING SEEM TO SLOW DOWN, GREATPACE😊😊 8:59
I can almost smell the unburned hydrocarbons.
@@Bbbuddy my eyes still burn..lol
Please tell me that you solved this. I have exact same vehicle 2011 regal 2.4. It has been doing thar chirp upon crank. It would not start up... unless I kept the key turned until it started. I started it like this for a month or so. So a week and a half ago I hit a pothole pretty hard. My gas pedal did almost nothing when I pressed it after I hit the pothole. I made it about a half a block until the gas pedal was useless. Car died. So I pulled it 2 blocks to my friends house. Was there a few hours. Was able to start car and sputter almost half way around his block before it died again and gas pedal was useless. To the floor it did nothing. And also this time it literally filled the whole street with a "blue" smoke from driverside tailpipe. Also i hit the pothole somewhere from middle of car to diverside of the car. More toward driver side I would say.... oh and my oil has lots of gas in it. Lots of it.
ended up replacing both purge canister solenoids and it fixed the problem
Thank you. I will try this first. Could be the just the beginning of the issues... since I just love to drive my car until it breaks down... had valves, and timing chain and everything with it fixed not too long ago.. since these cars are almost guaranteed to have chain guides break and screw up everything.
@@MlsssWsdm-s7v had the chains replaced also. Its crazy the purge valves were the problem
Every single one of my fuel n injectors were broken. The screen inside of them were all busted and the bottom of that small screen is plastic and the immediately fell into the injector cup on the rail when I took them out. So I replaced those and now wanna make sure whatever caused that to happen... doesn't happen again before I try to start it up.. not a mechanic.. just broke. Lol. So I'm trying. Cause im not quite ready to part with the car just yet
So I changed injectors.. (I think getting the retainers back on was definitely harder than taking them off..) changed injectors. Car ran again. But it's starting to act up a little. So I stopped driving so I don't ruin my new injectors. So I'm thinking maybe fuel pressure regulator. Crossing my fingers.
This is soo cool. they even had the traffic cop dressed in vintage uniform@!!
Nice footage. Saw myself go by at the 2:25 mark!
Thanks for the fine vidio. Have taken out T pickup there a few years ago.
Thanks for the ride and the memories. Been there for the Old Car Festival and the fire engine musters in years past. Jim
Our 22 caddy is on the thumbnail!
Its a nice car thanks for bringing it
And behind the Caddy my wife and I are in our ‘29 Ford Model A.
Thx for the ride. Guess I didn’t miss anything. Looked sparse this year. Cheers.
Less than 800 cars this year
Looks like you finished the car right on time! What a great event to run in your engine at!
@@AstraWerke nice place to break the engine at
@@Feds-Restoration Oh no don't tell me you did :o
I forgot the IN lol I broke the engine in driving it there...its running great@@AstraWerke
@@Feds-Restoration Phew what a relief xD
Was there had the 32 Auburn at the end. What a weekend 😊
Its a great show with great cars thanks for bringing your car out...its alot of work
cant wait to go next year, always an adventure.
Hilariously relatable for anyone who has ever worked on a Ford, especially one with any degree of rust. Hats off to all the unsung heroes traversing a mountain of misery while answering, "is it done yet", after four hours of snapping bolts and using an unholy combination of tools with Van Gogh levels of creativity.
Looks great! Nice job.
Worth the wait! Beautiful work.
Well there you go. Just remember to run it in don’t let it over heat 😂😂😎
@@KlepsGarage got 30 miles on it during test and tune...this one was a pain...lol
Nice job.
I really hope it worked out. I would not have done anything other than pay a cam regrinder to do it.
@@skylinefeverdid the same thing to the last Nash engine I just pulled put....worked out fine. Almost no spring load, I can compress the springs with my fingers to put in the keys.
@@Feds-Restoration Ah. I suppose I just have a tendency to only go by the book, especially if I have no prior knowledge.
Thanks man I have searched for ages for how to put my clutch back in, after taking it out like you did hahaha. The blocks will work well I reckon!
The water pump rebuild was perfect ! Al Ruckey
@@alruckey9268 I gave it my best 😀
Man you are pumping out the vids. I assume you are done and now showing us viewers. Taking Nash to OCF? We won’t be there this year. Cheers.
@@KlepsGarage I went balls out for 3 weeks and did not have time to edit all the vids...she is ready for the old car festival...you will be missed this year.
Your work is absolutely terrific. I always enjoy when you get another chapter done on the Nash.
Im Just a lucky Hack....LOL
Its up and running better then ever...I put off posting so I could get it ready for the show...I have 20 miles on the new engine. See you next weekend
Does this mean we will not see you at old car in 10 days?
Thanks for showing it all. Sometimes those little bits stop you cold.
Hello, I have the opportunity to buy a 93 Mark VIII thats been sitting for the better part of 9 years. Got any tips to check? I know that with a 96% chance the air suspension is gone but besides that? These cars are extremely rare in germany and thats basically the only one
The air suspension will be shot for sure, the upper and lower control arms, ball joints, rear control arm bushings, wheel bearings all will be shot, other than that if there's nothing mechanically wrong with the car they're pretty reliable
Installed one for the first time yesterday.. worked well for 2 days.. customer called and said hey it beeping . I silenced it then dropped the temp to 120..let s see how. It goes.. really it's neat with all the gadgets but to many things can go wrong and it usually does..Keep it simple.
To quote Scotty, “the more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain.” All these smart gadgets with minimal factory QC to save money means they don’t last long and fixing them is complicated if not impossible.
Did the regal cxl always have a lot of problems
I can say that the parts on these newer Buicks do not last long 😢 so yes they do but it’s affordable if you can DIY
Thanks for your vid, I won't try that, I'll try the tuck instead
Mine is leaking out of an over flow pipe that comes out the top of the water heater what could be causing that
1) bad valve. shut off heater, run the hot water out then replace the valve 2) gunk in the valve, shut off heater, run hot water out then open and close the releve valve.
I have a 1993 as will but mine as a broken rear sway bar I ordered another one from a scratch yard but I’m not able to see if it’s the right one because I’m out of town in a truck it came to day at my friends house I have a picture of it but can’t get to my 1993 mark 8 to see if it will fit do you have a picture of yours. Not sure how crazy this sounds!!
If it's not in one of my videos sorry I don't. I have our Nash on the hoist for the next few weeks and can't put the Mark up right now
This website has photos
Very Interesting!
Comforting im not the only one that makes that sound when I start getting my truck apart and see shit I don’t wanna see haha
Your camshaft looks brand new - great job! I'm sure replacements are not easy to come by and very expensive if you can even find one.
Where's the Nash?
So many big words, dildo, nuts and hot studs. I just don't know what to think.
Jerry - you made a good attempt, and you are not a fender bump expert.
Great ending !
Nice job. It was nice to meet you at the Lincoln Show last year. Hope to see you again.
A nice solution. I've seen this kit installed on a few cars now, and I agree that yours is toward the "worst case" end of the spectrum. A pretty good outcome, all things considered.
Independent rear suspension like a 03 Terminator LOL
