    Exactly as the opening stated... We take our eyes off of Christ and put them on another human that is just as faulty as the next person. He messed up and made a mistake but we forget as well that if we are guilty of one we are guilty of all the same sins. People want to place gravity on a sin. We need to pray that this man repents and asks for forgiveness. It is very unfortunate but it is a must. It is what Christ has left for us to follow. Obviously he needs to step down from the spot light and work on his situation between himself, God and his family then the suggestion would be to come out publicly as a public figure and speak to the people. He can be redeemed.... I pray that he can do what he needs to do to be forgiven.

      I think that this has summed up perfectly the reason I'm so leery of charismatic and new age/new thought leaders. I was watching a debate the other day, and noticed that in the comments section, that there was huge support for the two very attractive new thought debaters over the more logical, biblically-oriented debater. People just loved how the new-thoughters exuded love and peace and joy over the more aggressively logical debaters. They were practically seeing halos over these guys. You could see that the goal was to build a larger personal following - something that would be ultimately problematic for the leader and his followers, rather than stay focussed on the evangelizing message of the book itself. I see this as a problem of misplaced idolatry in ANY field, but especially for musicians and spiritual leaders. Adoration is very seductive. Thanks for your post; it helped me sort out what was bothering me about the debate I just watched.

      @shortylos Yes, and amen. I think people want a tangible hero, so they elevate people who have the spotlight but not the integrity or spiritual fortitude for the position. There's really only one person worthy to be called a hero, and they put him on a cross.

    I am learning to embrace the love of God in my life after divorce. Divorce is a demon that has come into this world to kill relationships, steal our joy, peace, dreams, etc and to destroy our emotional and mental stability. I believe Jesus can help me to rebuild myself as a single parent so I can live my life according to his will now. God loves me and my dear kids. I am thankful for that.

    • @CarlFarmer777
      @CarlFarmer777 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I am glad for your healing. You are wading through the carnage that divorce leaves behind. The stigma alone is a challenge for some. Remember, you, your spouse, and your children are all loved by God. Your present marital separation is not what defines you or what God wanted for you. But it is a reality of where you are. It is the result of a series of events that involved the enemy and personal choices. There is always a demonic scheme against any marriage. Marriage is an institution that was thought of in the heart of God. He is now in the process of helping you embrace forgiveness and a whole new life that the Holy Spirit brings to broken people and broken relationships. With the guidance of the Holy Sprit you will be able to look back on this whole situation and be in awe as to what God has done to turn your ashes into beauty.

    5:36 Most of those movies are made by demons, Even the ones made by christians are typically wrong, Most of them are made by christians who are gnostics & other beliefs. But even if thier was a biblical movie that was 100% based on the bible, It would still be destroyed because in order to copy right the movie they have to change it into something that doesn't exist. For instance the appearance of the Nephilim in Noah. Even though Noah is based off the book of Enoch & is a Forgery.

      There is always going to be a degree of artistic licensing. What I mean by that is what the director or storyteller adds to the story to make it more entertaining or believable. But how much you accept depends on how much you know is truth. Truth is based on Scripture and not a person's opinion. The extra-biblical materials can easily be heretical or, at the least, outright wrong.

    The Bible mentions Job's wife briefly in the Book of Job, and while her role is minimal, her words and actions have been the subject of much interpretation. Here is what we learn about her from a biblical perspective: Job 2:9-10 - Job's Wife Speaks After Job loses his wealth, children, and health, his wife says to him: > “Are you still holding on to your integrity? Curse God and die!” (Job 2:9, NIV) This is the only direct statement attributed to her. Job responds: > “You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?” (Job 2:10, NIV) Interpretations and Teachings 1. Her Reaction to Suffering Human Grief and Anguish: Job's wife had just experienced profound losses alongside her husband. She lost her children and her family's stability. Her statement may reflect the depth of her grief and inability to endure more suffering. Loss of Hope: Her words might express despair, suggesting she had lost hope in God's justice and felt death was preferable to ongoing suffering. 2. Testing of Faith Job’s wife represents a contrasting response to suffering compared to Job's unwavering faith. Her suggestion to "curse God" indicates a lack of trust in God's sovereignty, which highlights Job’s remarkable perseverance and trust in God. 3. A Warning Against Foolishness Job’s response, “You are talking like a foolish woman,” rebukes her and reinforces the Bible's teaching that wisdom begins with reverence for God, even in trials (Proverbs 9:10). Her reaction serves as a cautionary example of how despair can lead to hasty, irreverent words. 4. A Reflection of Shared Suffering While Job’s wife is often criticized, some interpretations suggest she symbolizes the shared burden of suffering in marriage. Her pain and confusion mirror that of many who endure significant trials, reminding readers to approach suffering companions with compassion rather than judgment. 5. God’s Mercy Toward Her Although her faith faltered, she remains alive and present in Job's restoration. At the end of the story, Job is blessed with new children and increased prosperity (Job 42:10-17), suggesting she was part of the restoration process. This reflects God’s mercy and the possibility of redemption even for those who stumble in faith. Key Lessons 1. The Importance of Faith During Trials: Job’s response contrasts with his wife’s despair, demonstrating the value of maintaining faith in God’s plan. 2. Compassion for Those Who Struggle: Job’s wife serves as a reminder that suffering affects people differently. Her words reflect human frailty, not necessarily wickedness. 3. God’s Sovereignty: The story teaches that we should trust in God’s wisdom, even when His ways are beyond our understanding. Job’s wife’s role is brief but thought-provoking, offering insights into human responses to suffering and the complexities of faith during adversity.
