    Kicking a ball around a field does not make a genius . This man had an organ transplant then pissed it up the wall again !

    Wogan's got a fucking cheek. They left trays of booze in his dressing room, specifically so George would get drunk and play up. Wogan wasn't worth the steam from George Best's piss.

    No question the greatest player with the most natural skill flair and personality today he would be making millions he lived his life during a very different time in recent history and was very much by himself and carried a great deal of pressure every single day . Greatly missed 🙏♥️

    I've laughed at this part many times but if you watch the rest of the interview, it's quite sad and there are embarrassed hushes from the audience. What a talent though....and on really sh#tty playing surfaces a lot of the time.

    Fabulously kind words from recently departed "Parky". Today, every top football game is filmed and recorded. In Best's playing day's, re: Match of the Day or The Big Match, they chose to film just a few top games per week. Alas, think of all the great Best displays of talent that was only watched live and went unrecorded. Great shame. What we do have is marvelous, though.

    I have wonderd a few times why would some one who had a life like this, the world at his feet and the greatest player in the world at just age 20 to 26. Becouse he packed in even before his peak. He should have left the game as the greatest player thats ever touched a ball at age 37 or 42, he could still play on way past 40 this guy, in the old english leauge, he just had to stay fit, plus leave the game financialy secure for the rest of his life as a multi millionare. But the fact it didnt happen that way is one of lifes tragedys, it really was, and hard to get your head round the fact. Then alcohol keeps popping up even when he was age 20 to 25 he was drinking more than he should have, but it was kept very quiet, and by 27 it was every day and night for the next 2 years. And it just went on like that even knowing he was killing himself really, no matter how much these celebs cover it up that was the reality. So theres the why? Thats easy to answer? He enjoyed it to much as we all did at 20, he said so himself. But then why not stop or cut it down when it was effecting his life and work and people around him? Thats the sign you have a drink problem. He always said he has cut it down and was doing well, but i never believed that tbh, he would look older as the years went bye, alot older. I am trying to ask i suppose was george born an alcoholic, becouse it did look that way. Is it genetic, and why in this day and age with super proffesors and the tools they have now not know this, about the most used drug in the world that ruins so many and so much. I even think its a kept hidden secret and they do know and have did for years and years. How young he was when he was drincking every night at age 20 ? And its not as if he was in a 9 to 5 dead end job he hated? Infact he won man utd almost on his own the european cup just 2 years later. He was 22 then and was taking black outs? A dangerous place to be in and to keep doing it when you dont know anything about the day before. A do believe its not a disease, its a choice you make to take that first drinck. But thats when it becomes an illness and you crave more drink and you will get it, mentaly and physicaly you do need it, people dont begg for alcohol all over the world becouse they like to begg and be kicked and spat on. Heroin addiction is when you have just mett the devil and dance to what ever tune he plays. People dont know how addictive any drug can be till its to late and there addicted to it. How can they know? Its all hear say and people believe that wont happen to me. Thats why i dont understand why these people are not being helped and are labeled and stigmatised. And thats the nice side to it. But an alcoholic gets any help from any gp, who then gives them one of the worse drugs in the world as in valium and the alcoholic laughs at how stupid it is becouse they then sell them to people that DO NEED them. But most will get addicted to a drug they didnt even need. Its a mess, and why? Becouse the people arent educated enough to be allowed to prescribe something they know nothing about. I had to laugh when some one said to me but i have just to get valium for 4 weeks then nothing. I said its to late now, one day is to much, you have already tasted them and like them now. So go back and say you now need more valium. As you did not ask for them in the first place and your not a drug addict. Just an alcoholic in there eyes. A specialist told me gps are not well trainend. And that man should never have gotten vailum just for a hangover and most he gives away, so thats other people now tried them, its like sweets and in a sweety shop.

    A fantastic footballer, often described as a quiet man. Unfortunately the alcohol ended up consuming him. Shock horror, you leave an alcoholic in the green room with a load of booze, he'll drink it. No point in the prawn sandwich brigade, who conduct the interviews acting all shocked and outraged. He was set up. Similar tricks played on the likes of Oliver Reed

    • @alanmctavish4802
      @alanmctavish4802 ปีที่แล้ว

      @thetwoboyos george could have had any football show he wanted and other shows as a host. But the bbc thought he was far to reliant on drinck to keep it up every week. They tried him and rodney marsh in early 1988 for the best and marsh show, but george and marsh werent the hosts they were guests, it was to really see how george would do as it was on every monday for 4 or 5 weeks. And was great, and had alot of viewers. And this was like a trial peroid. But after 5 weeks it just dissappeared, or some one disappeared? As george didnt get alot of work at that timeand he didnt turn up for alot he did get, so the bbc know all that stuff and whats going on with who. And george did speeches in old dumps for a few hundred pound. And even worse. But if he didnt have a problem with drink he would be king of any top football show. And the bbc gave george lots of work over the years. Becouse he had a huge pull on tv viewers. And what a player.
