Same for those who pervert the Word of God (in order to deceive and get money and gifts) and will never stop or repent of perverting the Word of God. We know who they are. And when I say child abusers, that includes abortionist (who will never repent, God knows) of course.
You folks have something very special at the church there. May God preserve and protect it always. I'm so delighted to be able to join in the preaching and teaching via TH-cam. I feel at peace just where I'm at and what the Lord has so graciously afforded me at this time in my life. I feel lavishly blessed of the Lord! Lord bless each of you, my brothers and sisters in Christ! - Karin
I so appreciate the fact that you don't yell and act hyper and full of caffeine. Not trying to be funny. I grew up in the Church of God denomination. I was so scared many times. Still freaks me out to be in hyper, loud and emotional situations at church. Also have a problem with my ears.... sensory problems. Hopefully you understand. I'm fully full Gospel and believe in all the gifts and genuine moving of Holy Spirit. You speak very peacefully there at your church. I'm able to listen and learn and stay anxiety free. Very grateful for the ministry there. I hope to visit soon and meet everyone! I'm new in Yadkinville and have only 2 relatives here. They already have a church. They are hard-core Baptist. More importantly they are faithful Christians and godly people. But they are busy before and after church and I'm not Baptist, respectfully. My Grandmother was a holiness evangelist and would preach or teach/witness at the drop of a hat so to speak.. Her mom, my Great Grandma, was a Sunday school teacher. They say she was a good Bible teacher. Well thanks for your time. Going to listen to some more teaching! - Karin Tolbert
Greetings again Herbert, Your explanation of why the 'bad girls' of the Bible ended up in a genealogy that (based on the other names in this and the names in the Lucian Gospel) there's really no need to include women in the list. I've never heard of a good reason why their names are here as in general women were essentially non entities in those days. If I' understand what you are saying is that are in the Matthean gospel to show, redemption is a big tent, large enuf so even Rahab et al can be included - they are ancestors and still made it to heaven despite being on the 'bad list' **What you tell here is the best reason I've ever heard for their inclusion, it's sweet and makes sense^^. Any time you line up the synoptic gospels side by side they don't really agree, but you bring that up, don't worry about it and proceed... without a diatribe on how/why they are both correct.. So CONGRATS on the explanation I've heard of why those ladies' names are there.
One thing I only recently noticed, but I'm sure it's not new to you Herb. In Luke, I think it's almost funny.? Why does Joseph go to Bethlehem? It says - because his ancestor, King David lived in Bethlehem 1000 years before. (using the census, I assume) To register with 'the IRS'? Why do yo go to register for taxation ? I assume they use this info to come tap on yout door with their hands out asking for the money.. Why would the IRS care where your ancestors lived a millennia before. ?? Mary certainly didn't even need to make this trip I would assume except a> the manger...what ever it means is already set up to fulfill the prophecy or b> he's a glutton for punishment and enjoys taking 8+ weeks women on donkey rides?
When Luke states, "Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David," he's using the opportunity to highlight Jesus' lineage back to King David. More specifically, Joseph's immediate lineage and tie to family property in Bethlehem through his father could have compelled travelling to Bethlehem for the census and taxation of real estate. I imagine he took Mary because of the special circumstances, knowing she was pregnant with God's son. Joseph was surely the most caring and concerned husband. Thanks for watching the video!
I never knew that about the horn! Wow! I remember wondering about that many years ago. I love that scripture passage. Rewinding to hear that again😊

Thanks!
Do you all use the same kind of Bible? I ask that because I heard you telling them what page number to go to. 😊
On Wednesdays, we meet in the fellowship hall and pass out paperback NKJV Bibles…. Just as a convenience. Sometimes I’ll mention the page number.
@@herbtuten8421 that's a cool thing!
Amen
May I ask? From what version did you read the passage in Philippians 3? TIA!
I typically read from the New King James Version. (NKJV)

Thanks for your comments, Greg! I'm so glad you watched the video. You always were a "thinking man", so I'm moved by what you've said.

Obey God rather than men.
Sorry for the audio going out of sync! Something must have gone wrong in the TH-cam upload/processing.
Wise words.
