    Litteraly this podcast is the first place that has articulated what I saw watching the game live and then back. I watched several other OL make mistakes and listen to the broadcast and media plame the LT 😂. Timing and continuity is why you need to get backups in while running the actual offense no matter the score. Lack of attention to detail and fundamentals jumps off the screen.

    What has bothered me about Day is coming into each year having question marks based solely on the staff with an inability to get PT consistently for younger players. Younger plays may make mistakes, why not get it out of their system when they're younger to gain experiences that will play dividends in the future. There are too many players that get placed into the vortex of great talent while never getting a chance to show it. This is all while gasing out the starters to the point where they can put up some bad tape. It gets frustrating it takes an injury to see what you actually have. Great players will transfer, commit elsewhere and haunt the current staff...

    We still just need to rotate on defense. The line and ends. Then I think we should keep using the TE’s if needed on the left side like we did Saturday. Use Howard to get the run game going. And Howard needs to be sharper. Make better decisions. He had 4 bad ones that killed drives. Throw everything out the window. Go balls out, throw everything at them and Go Win! 💪🏻❤️🌰🏈

    How stupid well the defender be allover a receiver. In a long pass. They know if they are on the receiver that they well give them first down even when they don't make the catch . They should get there ass kick .for that penalty. Then lies about it .

  • @StephenSteen

    THE play (second one covered) where we show pressure was a good call. The execution was disgusting. The DL was clearly supposed to at least go in and touch an OL, only Ransom does. If the DT/NT, touches/engages the center like he is supposed to, Sonny has a clear shot to the QB. Instead the center had plenty of time to see Sonny and redirect him perfectly. Would have been a home run call, but the team played sloppy all day on things like this. This is not the execution needed to change a game, this is how you keep a very talented opponent in the game. Rewatching the 4th quarter, both sides, what a mess. Howard had to play hero ball and the D laid an egg.

      It's not always that simple. And if Ohio State is known as wide receiver U. Then Oregon is the new WRU West. Not just this season but throughout the rooster Oregon is loaded with blue chips and has the top receiver in next year's class commited named Dakorien.

    This podcast should be called "The Excuse Machine" ... I am not sure OSU has ever been beaten before after watching all these reviews and this one is the most egregious. Parroting that OSU made a bunch of mistakes and Oregon played their best is such a cop out. Oregon made as many mistakes. The run game was nonexistent outside of 1 possession and 1 big run. The stats are deceptive because while the Oregon run game got better, the OSU running stats were built on that one possession. Chip caught Oregon one time.. which isn't an excuse.. it is what he did and good on him but that was the run game. Saying... hit a team like Oregon in the mouth is disengenious if you realize their guys are as big as yours. OSU is not a more physical team and haven't been since Cristobal. This Oregon team isn't gimmick and trick plays. While I think you can point to the travel across country... OSU looked gassed by that 4th quarter. The defensive PI's were because they were beat... the tackling at the end was not as good. I want a real breakdown and not all of these excuses. The real issue is OSU never plays athletes like this in the Big 10. While OSU still may have more skill talent, the gap is not as wide as the rest of the conference. The same can be said for the trenches. Not once do I remember a big hit from a OSU player that shocked an Oregon player. I do remember the blitzing safety getting put on his butt by our back. The biggest hit I remember from OSU was a safety hitting a receiver but it was still a catch. I am looking forward to playing OSU again... always interested in the excuses.

    • @Amar-yp4qk
      @Amar-yp4qk หลายเดือนก่อน

      I must admit. The guys tend to let their bias for OSU prevent them from being entirely objective. That's all of us tho. Oregon is a good team and their skill position players are elite. However I still believe OSU is the better team overall.

    • @JMiles003
      @JMiles003 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @Amar-yp4qk on the rewatch... there wasn't any overwhelming evidence of that in the film. OSU wasn't more physical.. they didn't move the ball much on the ground outside of one bad play by an Oregon libebacker. Oregon made more mistakes on offense than OSU and Oregon's Big plays weren't huge mistakes by OSU. Oregon tackled better.. or had less missed tackles. OSU sustained drives better, but even on their two best drives they had to make 4th down conversions. Genuine question... what did OSU do better than Oregon in this game that makes them the better team.. outside of everyone telling us they are the better team? I'm asking genuinely and not being a jerk about it. After the game I thought OSU was still the better team but upon rewatching it I saw little evidence.

    • @JMiles003
      @JMiles003 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @BleavBuckeyes now that I've been able to take in the rest of the Big 10... i am back to point out i was wrong. I thought the excuses were just annoyed OSU thing... nope. Every single game review from each team Oregon has played has had the same takes... excuses as to why they were beat by a "finesse" team, and they were a couple of bad calls from being in or winning the game against Oregon. I'd love to play Ohio State again, but that would give Indiana fans (and the rest of the Big 10 fans hoping someone stops the team from the Pac 12) the chance to say they would have beaten Oregon, so I'm hoping the Big 10 championship against Oregon. You guys know football, so I was hoping to get some unbiased review of the game, but it was far and few between. If you genuinely felt like OSU is the better team, you could have given real credit to Oregon in which they deserved it.

    Yah, the 4th and goal, Tez was wide open in the corner of the endzone, so that’s 7pts Oregon should’ve had, plus the 5pts in the first half. And the TD with 2mins left was wide open if he takes it left, where he had 20yds of room to score from a half a yard. So the one point loss should’ve been 16pts-48-31. And to make matters worse, Oregon was down 9players, and OSU was fully healthy. And 6 of Oregons 9 players were key players. -best DE on team with 5 sacks-Burch -2nd best CB-Florence -two backup IOL 340lb Iuli, 320lb Bedford -two backup WRs, 6’6” Kasper, 6’0 Bryant Jr (slot) So the team Ohio State will play again, will be a lot better, just from getting their best players back. Not to mention, they’ll be ready for that passing attack next time, while shutting down the run again.

      @@darrylcrane253 I could show you the pictures of the plays…but TH-cam doesn’t allow photos. Ohio State had nothing to do with stopping those two open TDs UO didn’t score…that’s the point. They were 100% on Dillon and Jordan James. Even though I was at the game, I rewatched game again on TV, and they emphasized how Tez was wide open, and how it was a guaranteed score, if Gabriel doesn’t look away for one more second. And on the second TD with 2mins left, I bet Jordan could’ve had time to write a tweet on his way into the endzone, it was so wide open from the LT to the sideline.

    For as much talent as they have on the defense it really doesn't flex much because they play passive and reactionary. This mindset to "keep everything in front of you" and that if we never give up a "big play" then we keep our confidence and can't be criticized is foolish. Do whatever it takes to get off the field ASAP. That's what a great defense does.
