It’s definitely a penalty without any doubt whatsoever. However, my team has also not been given penalties on countless occasions. Although you don’t get more blatant than this one. Not sure how the officials did not see this one, but please no VAR in the Championship.

The stat du jour for assessing goalies is Post Shot Expected Goals minus Goals Conceded (PSxG +/-). Or in simple terms, how many goals the keeper should have conceded (based on the quality (xG) of the chance), minus goals conceded. The higher the positive number the better. Vik has +9.3, meaning he should have conceded 9 goals more than he actually has! On this Vik is by far the best in the league as Vigouroux is next on +5.2, then Oxford and Sunderland's keepers both have +5.0. And this must be a huge indictment on our defence, as we have the 2nd or 3rd highest xG Against in the league! (depending on which site you're looking at). So without Vik, we would probably be in the relegation zone. Food for thought for the coach.

He’s an excellent keeper- reminds me of Pickford; pretty reliable but there is a Rick in him! I think it’ll be 1-1 v Millwall.

We looked a completely different team, calm and collected, positive attacking football. Johansson is without a shadow of a doubt the best keeper in the league, kept us in the Blackburn game, I haven't seen a great keeper like that since Butland, Stoke will have difficulties keeping him. I think we still need better ball playing centre backs, Seko and Burger seem to be good partnership in the midfield, the team has some potential. UTMP!

Compared to other managers whove come in and had inherited the previous managers sqaud i think pelach has done fairly well. Think January could make or break him

Jesus lads. Can't blame the manager. We have a league 1 defence. Gibson, wilmott, junior. All terrible. We need to build. But I think this manager has been excellent given the cards he's dealt. We need to be playing Phillips. We need another centre back, a decent rb. We've lost one or two. The next 3 games are going to be really telling

Guardiola has a lot to answer for. His brand of football which all coaches now seem to adhere to, works when you have got world class players with intelligence, control and the ability to move and create space. Pelach has us playing around at the back, where probably the only defender who has any sort of touch (Phillips)isn’t picked on a regular basis. We don’t have a recognised pattern of playing, often seeming to stand off and inviting teams to shoot. Our defenders seem totally adverse to marking, and any team featuring Thompson loses all ability to move the ball forward from the DM position. We are stuck with him- but he’s done nothing to make me think that there is going to be a rosy Dawn under his leadership. You watch Derby look quicker and more forceful than us tomorrow.

Imho, Stoke is very weak in the defence, after watching the games whether it was in person or on TV (live or highlights), they are very mistake prone, Ben Gibson especially has been making some dumb mistakes like for example that failed sliding clearance/pass he attempted against Sheffield Utd and I do agree with you both that without Johansson and also I think Manhoef, we'd be waving goodbye to the championship, I also think that Narcis Pelach is not the man we need, sacking Schumacher seems to be a really bad mistake judging by the stats. The way Stoke could realistically get back fighting for promotion would be to do a full top to bottom rebuild because I'm not confident in Walters' abilities as DoF, Pelach is not it and some of the players are sub par at best and of course it won't be fast but Rome wasn't built in a day. I love what you guys do, keep it up lad! UTMP!

I have been a Stoke fan for too long to have any high expectations. The FA Cup final was a nice surprise but the result was predictable. Stoke will be in another relegation battle and will no doubt snatch defeat in the face of victory. Have an oatcake for me, boys. We do not have them in Sydney.

The way stoke are playing is a symptom of modern football, and I for one, hate it. Passing sideways around the back, with most of the possession typically held by the least mobile or skilful players on the pitch (centre backs). It's rubbish to watch and clearly isn't working; the results tell you that. There is zero closing down up top and the midfield look lost. The season is truly written off already, and I hate to say it, but Coates and Walters deserve to get us relegated. Sacking a manager with the highest win % for 25 years, in favour of a bloke that's never managed properly is a ridiculous decision, and has shades of Birmingham's debacle last year.

He is feeding off scraps at the moment, lumping the ball up to him, we won't see the best of him. If we had a midfield that could control the game and provide him with opportunities we would see what he could do. Our only release of pressure I can see at the moment is launching it up to him. That works sometimes when you have someone like Gallagher up with him but not Kumas. If we want to play like that we may as well start Ennis
