======= About the game ======
Lost Temple Treasure is a third person action-adventure roguelike where you play as a robot archaeologist exploring a procedurally generated temple for rare artefacts.
The game features some of the procedural generation techniques I teach on this channel, also some unique AI design such as the ability for enemies to detect and use environmental traps and hazards to their advantage.
The game has 3 post game difficulty variations/modifiers for players looking for a challenge, as well as an "assist" mode if the game is too hard (it's pretty hard! XD)
I've put a lot of blood and sweat into this one! I actually started all the way back in 2019 and it has taken me until now to finish! I will probably come back in the future and add more too, but for now, it is time to release and get some feedback!

@ now that I am finished I’m researching composite data tables now for the purpose of defining spawned weapon attributes. This video was super useful to me; I am using a data table to store round timer duration attributes based on chosen difficulty

Great explanation! I have just 1 question hope anyone can answer. At the end the behavior tree did not continue to the right status "Wait". Why not? It should continue from left to right, right?
@@hiQer selector nodes execute from left to right until a task succeeds then start again from the top. Sequence nodes execute all nodes in sequence

Cool video, thanks ! So we did not need to set the CharacterMovement to "flying" ? Also, did you drop a NavMesh in there ? I must have missed that part.
@@WrathOfAl no need for nav mesh. Movement mode flying works well too

I am working individually on a virtual reality game, there are more game mechanics than the game itself, which is really difficult, it is better to say virtual reality mechanics, not game mechanics.
In general, dear friend, third-person games require special staging, including advanced lighting, high-quality character settings with high detail, and most importantly, the creation of a very professional cinematic to initially attract the audience, and subsequently even a 1-hour game, relying on creating Sufficient excitement in half an hour of the game itself has many factors in the sale of the game. Also, most of the games that have been made for one player are mostly first-person shooters because they do not need a trailer or an initial movie. You yourself know many examples better than me, of course, if you want, I will give you them. good luck

@@Exponerad no this one is single player only but I’ve got a separate pack on gumroad which is replicated and includes biomes. I couldn’t put it on marketplace because it uses a free third party plugin for the biomes

Finally got Fast Noise Generator. 5.4 crashes on opening. Installed 5.3 and everything now working perfectly in Windows - again (as on the Mac) without Simplex Noise.

Thanks again! I've read every ERW post on Discord and have now got everything working OK on my Mac (and working without Simplex Noise - do I really need that plugin?) I want to move to my Windows machine as it's much more powerful . I trashed the old files and started again from scratch, but now have a different problem. Fast Noise Generator is showing "Unavailable" on Epic Marketplace - so can't move on until that gets sorted out.
I don't intend to use in ERW in multiplayer mode. Do I still need to add PB_EWC? Everything seems to work OK for me without it?
@@curvingorbit8262 you mean the player controller? No you don’t need to use it, just the endless world component. I show how to do that in one of the setup tutorials

On the Mac I’m opening the following: Content / EndlessWorld / Demo / StarterContentDemo / EndlessWorldDemoMap On occasions I'm getting the message: Are you sure you want to Play in Editor? The following blueprints have unresolved compiler errors. BPC_EWC. On my Windows machine I get a crash on opening.
Open the blueprint and see what the errors are
When I open the DemoMap and Play it looks nothing like what I see in your video. The levels are completely different and there is no animation. Please advise. Thanks!

nice this looks smooth , i am trying to create client side predication as well. But going to check out this plugin for smoother movement . Any videos on how you implemented the Smooth Sync plugin would be cool
@@thehungrymonk17 smooth sync is basically plug and play. Just do all your movement on the client side and if handles the rest

hello how are you thank you for this video I have a question I try to meter a ue5 project on the marquette place but it is refused I am told that it needs a .uproject project I can't find it in the folder I publish it in shiping or in project fill shiping or I simply have to add .uproject to the nodes of my file I'm dumped
@@bookisgames8851 .uproject is the file type for the unreal engine project itself, it is created when you make the project and is how you open it
where you not going to destroy the gaming company 's in your Last video. Because what im seeing and hearing is the same as this corrupted corporation. im sorry if this kick you in the balls but only telling the truth now to beat this corruption destroying your game is to think out side the box but surpass that and what behid the box it the sphere now i can going but t this point you will be try to wrip your head round what is side about the box and sphere just focus on the box thing as that's the oldest thing that some people still remember. so once you look over old game's and then match them up to the remaster the ok most old player like the old game's but for example free games like fortnite is just no for me old halo yes new halo no why because even with the easter egg's that i love to do the new game has you buying more stuff when hackers or scammer cant cheat the game even online iv had to learn alot of things even how this hacker and scammer are getting away with it throwing the real world off balance dark time are upon us the corruption has do it job and it to late some of us. Example im from the UK and it gone made over here cant even step out side anymore.
1:33:52 there is an option to fix this without using event tick. In the physics settings of Capsule Component there is constraints section with locking rotation by axes.

Looks really cool I love the idea with moonphases and zodiac...I'm just getting into game development. Like newbie newbie I've only been watching unreal tutorials for about 2 weeks lol about to dive in. I've been producing music for years in ableton and other music software with multiple releases over the years...unreal looks so amazing and I can understand the overall concept of how it works with blueprints visual code it's all modular components looking forward to learning it. within the millions of faulty tutorial or dumb ways of doing things in UE, finally someone that actually THINK of a feature before doing one off all over. Thanks so much for this, coming up from unity this explained SO MUCH of the BP concept and actual real production cases you'd want to put in place.
26:00 when I try to do the "get billboard" it doesn't connect to the get a copy it just floats on its own any ideas?
@@Glitchyetiad the get copy node will be of the wrong variable type. Disconnect everything and try again in a different order to reset the wildcard
I'd love to see more of this, most channels just kinda throw a tutorial on how to do certain things in the audience's face with little explanation, and it's really hard to learn that way. I found this super helpful, especially since I'm learning by taking notes, which is a great way to remember information. I don't know if you've completely moved on from this but I, for one, found this super helpful and would love to see more 🙏

My enemy character spins around himself instead of player
Im just starting my game dev journey. Im turning 39 with a 1 yr old and a full-time job, struggling my way through trying to learn how to make my dream happen. Its a bit overwhelming.. i need a mentor, but dont want to be a burden and dont have thousands to spend on someones patreon for "1 on 1's"
I'm barely dipping my toes in the game dev water and can feel it already lol. I need to get over that hump and gain that confidence to make it happen
