April 8th, 2024 total eclipse will occur again in USA! My experience under path of totality in 2017

This was my experience under path of totality in 2017. Incredible experience. Way more profound than expected. Check path of totality for April 8th, 2024 and keep an eye on the forecast! We're planning to chase in Dallas but April can be unpredictable with severe weather in the south. Plan accordingly.

This is how to correctly shoot a basketball. Three things to always keep in mind, in this order. 1) Movement of collecting the ball to the shooting pocket. Needs to be: a) balanced (get under the ball). b) The exact same every time. Both take years of practice. 2) We shoot with our hip. No problem having feet squared to basket, but always keep in your mind the comnection between your hip (shoot...

    Thanks for the review. I just ordered a set for wifes Palisade. We had the Toyo Celcius II, which were great. But I like trying new things. I had a 10 Highlander and it was terrible in the snow, just my opinion...and oh god that traction control warning lol EJECT EJECT EJECT, like dude settle down I just got a bit of slippage lol. Best vehicle I've ever had in snow has been Mitsubishi Outlander, but too small for my family.

    These all-weather tires give about 85% of the snow traction and ice traction that you would get from 'Michelin X-ice Snow' winter tires. On the other hand, Michelin 'Defender' all-season tires only give you around 50% of the snow and ice traction that you would get from 'Michelin X-ice Snow' winter tires. So if you are like me, and you are fed up of having to keep a second set of tires (mounted on separate rims) in your garage, then get the CrossClimate 2 tires and you get traction that is pretty good, almost as good as a dedicated winter tire.

    Reporting from the Pacific Northwest. Ex-mechanic, Lived in Alaska for 10 years. I purchased a full set of these tires (From Discount Tire as well) in the fall during our typical rainy season. The first thing I noticed was they are a bit noisier than our previous tires but not so much that it was a real concern. The next thing I noticed was that the water-pumping ability is second-to-none. Normally, when our 2021 Subaru Ascent hit deep water (1/2" to 2") with only one side of the vehicle, the vehicle would pull pretty hard to the side hitting the water, as result of rolling resistance from the water piling up in front of the tires on that side. Not with these tires--The pull is almost completely absent, being barely noticeable. The directional, diagonal deep grooves in the tires act as a constant pump, ejecting water from under the tires keeping the tire surface in full contact with the road. If you look out the side windows as you drive through deeper water, you can actually see the pattern of the pump grooves in the spray of the water being ejected to the sides of the vehicle. Very impressed. As Winter kicked in, the vehicle was driven over a mountain pass through the Cascades just after a blizzard. On the hard pack left behind by the plow trucks, it felt like driving on dry pavement, during turns, acceleration and braking. In fresh, un-plowed snow, it was more obvious that you were in snow but was far superior to tires I used up in Alaska that were both siped AND had studs. Yes, that is what I said, they out-performed STUDDED tires. Honestly, I did not think that possible, but the proof is in the pudding. I have long been a subscriber to the idea of buying products based on warranty, not cost, the reasoning being that if the manufacture stands behind the product and shows that by including a decent warranty, I am less likely to have to replace the product sooner, in the long run saving me money. This has worked well for me in almost every consumer-product category. That being said, a 60k mile warranty on not just winter tires, but multi-season tires is almost unheard of. With winter tires I have tried in the past, including in Alaska, the tire compound is too soft to survive summer conditions for long and thus the manufacturer usually gave warranties in the 30k-40k range, at best. Michelin puts their money where their mouth is by including a warranty usually only seen on standard, single season tires. TOTALLY impressed with the entire package, but expect to pay more--They are NOT cheap tires. But, as I said, if they last longer than other tires, and don't require mounting/balancing of a second set of winter tires, you will actually SAVE money in the long run. Way to go Michelin!

      You should do video reviews! Very well stated and agree 100%. I don't think it's possible to hydroplane with these tires. They struggle on icy roads but they eat up snow like an Olympic skier. Small compromise for all year tire if you ask me. Especially given that I take it very slow on ice, where dedicated winter tire I tend to push and speed can be disastrous without notice on ice. Thanks for your comment!

    We got this on our Subaru Ascent and Outback. We will not go back to other all-season tires and probably won't need winter tires ever again unless it's black ice. Probably all tires are useless in black ice except studded ones.

    My cross climates just demolished the recent storm we had in SE MN,I was out the entire time driving for Uber and doordash, I can count the amount of times ABS kicked in on one hand. Truly remarkable. I had to stop myself from driving too fast cause these tires will give you confidence and you may get into some trouble 😂😂

  • @frutbum
    @frutbum 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    All Climate is not All Season. All Season offer zero lateral traction in snow, it's the reason you see people fishtail into loss of control. However, the Michelin All Climate are an intelligent choice where you may not have frequent snowy, slick driving conditions, say Texas or Western Washington. A step up from All Climate is Studless Snow and Ice and a step up from Studless is studded. Don't be fooled into believing a Studless tire is a studdable/un-studded tire as advertised by some sellers. Studdable/un-studded is the bottom of the barrel by which All Climate will out perform.

    Impartial testing has shown the CC2 is not as good as a snow tire, but yet it is slightly improved -in snow- over quality all season performance tire such as the Sport 4 AS. But then you give up the dry and rain advantages and performance of the Sport 4 AS the rest of the year.

    • @FlexSZN23

    We liked the Michelin Cross Climate 2 tires on our Forester so much that we put a set on my wife’s Outback as well. We get 5-7 feet of snow every winter and these tires are Awesome on dry, wet, slushy, snowy, logging and forest roads. When they wear out, we’ll replace them with another set.

    I have a 2019 Highlander Hybrid and I had a set of these put on 1,000- miles ago. My one reservation had been what I'd read about fuel economy. To date, I'm getting incrementally better MPG than with my OEM Bridgestone Dueler Ecopia tires. The Michelin Defender is rated at 80K rather than the 60K for the CrossClimate 2 but the winter handling should more than make up for that in peace of mind.

    Lots of people love these tires. Different formulations for Europe vs. US/NA, but consensus seems to be they are the real deal and worth the money. Just got mine yesterday and notice improvements in every category, from tracking to road noise, to handling (yes, a tad of understeer which more reviewers document), to urban MPG. Can't wait to see how they wear.

  • @kaliikleja

    Try Michelin X-Ice Snow and you see a lot better grip, because these are real winter tires what are made for north winters. cross climate can't catch them, because cross climate is not 100% winter tire, it's more universal tire what have some winter properties. I live in north Europe and in my country have law what banned cross climate tires, because thery are not enough for our north winters. In my country is allowed only winter tires what is made for north winters, like Michelin X-ice Snow. Michelin X-Ice Snow is real winter tire and real winner, i use even studded tires Michelin X-Ice North 4.
