You should use a meter that can measure wattage directly. The open circuit voltage is not necessarily the voltage at the time you're measuring the current, because now some load is applied and there would be voltage drop. So multiplying 47.7v by the current is not right.

You're calculation is wrong. To get the output power of solar panel. You should always multiply the Vmp x Imp to get the panels rating. Secondly, you dont expect the panel of that size to be light considering amount of glass used in producing it

Have noticed this with a lot of solar panel. Those sellers just add any sticker to add and brand it to become any good company of their choice

Sir so this has built in mppt charge controller. Which do you recommend or which is better is it to have just this inverter or go thr traditional way of off grid solar system wbere we have the systems different than everything being combined in just one inverter this makes me fear that the inverter might not last long enough.

Haaa... this parallel connection is very dangerous. Any electrical Protection devices should be in series not parallel. Series connection add another layer of protection to you system, parallel makes your system vulnerable. Have you asked yourself, if one of them fails, what happens to the second one? If you need a higher amps, even as much as 2000A, you can use a relay, contactor or Air Circuit Breaker ACB.

Your practical explanation was well done. But I suggest when next you want to do such experiment, it’s best done outdoors most especially not on this your white sofa centre table 🤩

Guy you missed this explanations. The reason for using aluminium is bcos of the cost and weight and its a poor conductor of heat and electricity. Its mostly used for ac or dc bcos if the weight. you will notices sagging in aluminium despite the fact that its light in weight as its been used in low voltage distribution and its prone to oxidation and sagging . Infact its a poor conductor when its comes to DC transmission bcs of I²R and voltage drop along the transmission line. Pls alway consider the fundamental principles. If not standards of most materials that has been compromised , you can only compare alloy of copper with aluminium cable.

So because of this your one time experiment you want us to believe that Al is better than Cu. Know that all metals too has their purity level and that will affect their conductivity. If you have pure copper and pure aluminium, copper will perform better. Copper is better than Aluminium on heat, that is why it is best for motors and generators And mind you, transmitting 12v for 15meters, you will surely get losses either for AL or CU. That is why the battery to inverter cable is as close as possible. I will ask you if your battery to inverter cable is Aluminium, if it is, then i rest my case.
