I personally LOVE the updated and new UTAH state flag. We moved here eight years ago from California. I've visited, via work and family road trips, all 50 states with my wife and sons and seen many of the flags out there. There are a large handful of flags that are only copies of their state seal on a blue background, as Utah's was. Most of those states are simple with the name of the state, and or with the state seal. I don't believe the Utah flag is radical, woke, but only modern that I'd be willing to wear as a logo sweater, tshirt, hat or others. I've had some friends say just wear the flag in place now, but no one wears it or prints it today. The CA, AZ, CO, AK, and many other flags look great on clothing and want Utah to do likewise, so I support it!!! I'm happy that Dan sponsored this change! It waves at our home!

I don’t think this is a bad flag at all, I just feel like it’s lacking in some ways. The entire right section being entirely blue is pretty boring.

Wrong design.

Originally, the seal of Minnesota was designed to encompass the feeling of reconciliation between the farmers and Dakota tribes. The Governor at the time of the territorial period thought it would be appropriate to actually show the two ethnicities getting along, rather than being murdered and stuff. Infact, the original proposal for Minnesota's seal consisted of a native giving a white settler a pipe of peace to commemorate their desires for peace with new settlers. The (now defunct) seal was originally designed with desires to encompass reconciliation, but if the people thought the image was unfit, then it was appropriate for it to be retired.

Who would’ve thunk it? I just saw a video about the lesbian flag and thought of looking for something about the bi one, since I'm bi myself, only to learn that my birthday is the start of Bi Awareness Week. I know it’s just a big number doing big numbers thing, but it was funny and kind of wholesome in a way. My birthday is the date we celebrate when my state was granted statehood (i'm brazilian, and my state is Alagoas). I always joked that it was because of my birthday; now i have another way of using that joke.

Do a video on the Tennessee flag! One of the most unique flags out there, and the symbolism of the three stars for the three grand divisions makes so much sense. And no one star is at the top, so no grand division is the most important. Not sure what the blue stripe on the end is for though! And think about it: you could go to Memphis, Nashville, and/or Dollywood!

Or, you could not make your sexuality your whole personality :D

While I appreciate the North Star flag and would have preferred it over our previous flag, I have to admit I'm glad it didn't become the state flag. I really like what became our new flag. The North Star flag could be a really nice city flag. But I guess Duluth already took the general concept of it.

I hope someone told you the story of the Virginia Battle Flag! Sounds like it isn't on display, but the story is so good. Also, Minnesota is so underrated. I'm glad you saw all of the beauty of cities!

Great video. I was a big fan of the new flag when revealed. It stands out from other flags which I enjoy. Most of my social circle preferred the tricolor version, but I disagreed. Tricolor flags are iconic, but tricolor flags to me have always felt like an old world owned design. Using them in the US I feel like would be phoning it in. I'm happy to see someone elsethat likes the new design instead of complaining about how "by the books" it felt. As a secondary item, I do like how the flag lends itself well to riffs on the design like the pride flag, since it can maintain its distinctiveness while putting in other designs in the light blue section.

I like the new MN state flag. Not enough to call it "perfect", but I _DO_ like that the left side is basically an oversimplified outline map of the state.
