Thanks for the analysis! Could you help me with something unrelated: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
Normotim helped me break free from the cycle of eating just to cope with stress.
Limiting temptations, eating slow, setting boundaries, being ok to saying no, and transparent communication with friends & loved ones are all excellent tips for successfully navigating the holidays.
Patients look at themselves as a failure if they opt for bariatric surgery. However, that’s not true. Obesity is a biologically driven disease which in the right environment can be helped and “fixed”. A facility like ASC is a very good environment where patients can feel supported and properly guided throughout the bariatric surgery journey.
Do you over stitch the sleeve after the staples to prevent internal bleeding or not?
The #BariatricSurgery preparation is rigorous and takes a lot of time, but thankfully #CHRIAS & the #UMACO Network facilitate a smooth process.
Like any disease process, you have to understand the severity. Depending on the class identification/BMI range, medication and surgery suggestions will differ.
this video proves im a victim of surgical malpractice wtf, wrong site not keyhole,
I was going to get bariatric surgery in 2010 but I backed up and I was already in the process of getting it done but I was too young, I did my research about bariatric surgery, wls, gastric sleeve and gastric bypass for many years now 😊
A sincere thank you to the creators for their courage in tackling the issue of patient dropout from the weight loss surgery program. Your commitment to inclusivity sets a powerful example for the healthcare community. 💪💚 #InclusiveHealth #BariatricFridayInsights #UnitedTV

Thank you for this detailed walkthrough! It's incredibly helpful for those preparing for bariatric surgery. Your insights make the process seem much more manageable.#bariatricfriday #SurgeryDay
Thank you very much for all this informative session #Bariatricfriday #CHRIAS #unitedmedical
Patients should definitely follow recommendations from the whole patient care team (Care Coordinators, Nurses, Nutritionists, Psychologists and Surgeons) in order to fully and positively maximize their bariatric surgery experience.
Patients are different so we have to apply the individuals’ particular history, comfort level and risk tolerance when considering what kind of bariatric procedure to process.
Gastric balloon, gastric band, gastric sleeve and gastric bypass are some examples of the bariatric surgery types. Gastric sleeve is the most popular/common.
Loved this session. It helps so much visually seeing what patients can anticipate during nutritionist visits.
Thank you Dr Wynn and Kemal!
A support group truly is such a crucial part of making ones' bariatric surgery process a good experience. I'm happy to know that Chrias has this support group meeting every month!
This was an extremely insightful video.
Dr. Irgau and all his colleagues at #CHRIAS continue to provide outstanding #surgicalcare & knowledge to patients across the #Tristate and #Midatlantic area.
Addressing obesity as a disease is a responsibility of healthcare workers. #CHRIAS #BariatricSurgery #AmericanSurgeryCenter
Patients may feel constipation post-surgery. The anesthesia, change in diet, medication, etc. can slow the bowel movement. And it's okay to take laxatives and stool softeners as the days go by.
Patients are instructed to stick to a liquid diet for the first 2 weeks post-surgery and then a pureed diet until they're 4 weeks post-surgery. This is important because the surgery has led to certain wounds in the stomach and/or intestines that requires healing. Consuming chewable food too early can hinder healing and may lead to complications. #BariatricSurgery #WeightLoss
Some patients drop out of the #BariatricSurgery Program because of the high deductible and out-of-pocket expenses but the benefits of the program are superior. Living a healthier lifestyle will reduce the overall cost of healthcare at the end of the day.
The #BariatricSurgery preparation is rigorous and takes a lot of time, but thankfully #CHRIAS & the #UMACO Network facilitate a smooth process by giving all the necessary information and assistance to patients.
I continue to hear that the body can adapt to a set feeding window and can short-circuit your losing weight by fasting. They are saying like every few weeks, thro in a lunch during the day to break the schedule/cycle and avoid deprivation adaptation? Can you comment on this?
I really hope you educate on the physiologic link to any sweet flavors in stalling, relapse, sugar addiction. This was not known back when I had Rouen Y surgery. Unfortunately, I suffered a broken back and at the time pain treatment was impossible to obtain. I found out after 2 years of downing fistful of ibuprofen will eat a hole in your gastric system, and it did. I lost well over half of my blood with a He.aglobin of 7.4 in the ER, not breathing well, passing out. I had 2 transfusions during surgery and was in the ICU for 5 days. I was discharged with Hemaglobin at 8.9 with high dose Iron day. The problem is my body is stuck gaining weight. I have been OMAD for 2 years and still gain weight! I just found IF but I am concerned even more about nutrition and exercise. For Rouen Y Bariatric Patient with starvation system that adapted to 3,000 calories or less/day? I have seen talk that changing up fasting duration as well as the feeding time helps to keep from caloric deprivation adaptation. Can anyone speak to that? Is it advisable to focus on a Keto Diet along with fasting? What concerns are there with that as well?
The background noise was very distracting
I realize English probably isn't your first language but just a minor detail you may want to correct is the first slide in health benefits should read can help lose weight. Thank you. Good information.
Weight loss surgery, also known as bariatric surgery, has been recognized as a safe and effective treatment for morbid obesity and weight-related health conditions, such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease. However, bariatric surgery is not for everyone. You may qualify for bariatric surgery if:
How about heavy creamer for coffee
Thank you Dr. Vaid! You have been wonderful with my care. I’m thankful you chose to specialize in this area, and help so many people!
Dr. Isaias Irgau, MD, FACS, FRCS (Ed), FASMBS is president and co-founder of the Christiana Institute of Advanced Surgery (CHRIAS). He has extensive experience with minimally invasive weight loss surgery. Dr. Irgau is board-certified in bariatric surgery with the American Board of Surgery. In conjunction with his associate, Dr. Gail Wynn, he was the first to perform the LAP-BAND® procedure and the first to firmly establish the laparoscopic approach to Roux-n-Y gastric bypass in the state of Delaware. Dr. Irgau has personally performed over 2,000 bariatric procedures with excellent results. He and his associate Dr. Wynn started and established the Bariatric Surgery Program in three of Delaware’s leading medical centers. The American Surgery Center is Dr. Irgau's home out patient surgery center. With the addition of Dr. Michael Peters Jr., and Dr. Rahul Singh to CHRIAS, they eventually led the two hospitals to earn the prestigious designation of Center of Excellence in Bariatric Surgery - Christiana Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, and Bayhealth Medical
#Weightloss surgery, also known as bariatric surgery, has been recognized as a safe and effective treatment for morbid obesity and weight-related health conditions, such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease. However, #bariatricsurgery is not for everyone. You may qualify for bariatric surgery if: You are at least 18 years old. You are at least 100 pounds overweight or your Body Mass Index (BMI) is 40 or higher (or at least 35 if you have one or more weight-related health conditions). You have been overweight for at least 5 years. You have made serious weight loss attempts with other methods but only had short-term success. At CHRIAS, our board-certified surgeons are dedicated to provide the most advanced and unsurpassed care in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and nearby regions. To better serve you, we offer our services in multiple convenient locations.
Long-term remission for type 2 diabetes. One study reported that bariatric surgery causes long-term remission of type 2 diabetes. The results of this study show the procedure is highly effective for obese patients with type 2 diabetes, allowing almost all patients to remain free of insulin and other related medications for at least three years after surgery. Improved cardiovascular health. Weight loss surgery decreases a person’s risk of coronary heart disease, stroke and peripheral heart disease. Plus, one study even reported that the weight loss achieved from the surgery can help prevent the risk of death associated with stroke, hypertension and myocardial infarction. Blood pressure and cholesterol levels can return to normal, or near normal after surgery, reducing these risks and improving overall well-being. Relief of depression. Many obese people feel depressed because of poor body image and social stigma. Even younger people who carry significant excess weight find it difficult to participate in activities they might otherwise enjoy, leading to social isolation and depression. Losing this excess weight can improve emotional health in these patients. It was found that people who underwent bariatric surgery had a 32.7% decrease in depression at the time of surgery and 16.5% decrease six to 12 months after surgery. Eliminate obstructive sleep apnea. Achieving and sustaining a normal weight range often allows people with sleep apnea to stop using a CPAP machine at bedtime. About 80 to 85% of patients experience remission of their sleep apnea one year after surgery. Joint pain relief. Carrying around excessive weight puts a lot of stress on your weight-bearing joints, often causing chronic pain and joint damage. The significant and sustained weight loss that occurs after bariatric surgery relieves the stress on joints and often allows people to stop using pain medications and enjoy much more mobility. Improve fertility. Weight loss surgery can also improve fertility during childbearing years. One study reported that the risk of miscarriage may decline after bariatric surgery and can improve menstrual cycles in women who don’t ovulate. Alleviate other medical conditions. Weight loss surgery can also relieve metabolic syndrome, pregnancy complications, gallbladder disease and more.
