At last, we made an appointment to view the house with the real estate agent, which I hadn’t personally expected. Claire and I had agreed that living in a house would be a great idea, and Putrajaya is a good city to reside in. However, I thought landlords in Putrajaya might be a bit reluctant to rent to foreigners. Claire contacted a real estate agent whose number was posted on a house, while I reached out to one I found online, who had listed a few condos near the station. Interestingly, Claire was able to connect with her agent, while I couldn’t. I was wrong about my initial concerns.
The house was almost empty, as shown in the video, which I liked. Claire and I considered everything from curtains to chairs, excited about organizing the space to make it our own. I thought it would be a great experience, especially for Claire. Having lived in apartments for most of our lives, we understood how much our living situation impacted our overall well-being. We were determined to give this a good try.
We gathered valuable information we hadn’t known before. I asked the agent about house prices and market conditions in Putrajaya. He mentioned that houses there are quite popular among foreigners, especially Chinese nationals. He also explained that Putrajaya has a quarter system that restricts foreign purchases of real estate.
As we roamed around the house, we noted some issues, like faulty toilets.
After viewing the house, we returned to Sentral, and I didn’t do anything else in Putrajaya that day.
It was hot.
We are planning to live in Putrajaya for at least two years.
