Idk wtf you think this proves but I was just in China and yeah sure, there were some very polite and fruendly people. But overall, it was a terrible experience. I was cussed at in a language I dont understand (assuming I was being cussed at based on the body language, intonation, and overall clear aggression) of the ppl shouting at me on the street when id just be walking around. This was FAR more common than the sweet friendly lady at the restuarant by my hotel who was super nice.

Hello from a fellow Australian 👋. I think someone calling you stupid was very unfair however you are extremely naive and ignorant on the topic of China and its activities in the current world. You are right in saying that the Chinese are great people and they are. No argument there but to say that they have great leadership that is pushing them forward with little to no friction in the world is breathtakingly ignorant. Whilst China has many large cities with modern comforts and luxuries, the reality is that the majority of the country lives in what the rest of the world would define as poverty and in very tough conditions. The CCP class anyone that earns $339.7 USD (RMB 2,300) or more to not be in poverty yet $56 million Chinese still live below this mark and many millions not far above. I don't know of anywhere you could live on $0.93 USD and not experience anything other than utter poverty. People and areas that won't be seen by the outside world have little to no chance of being developed and given the resources to make their lives even remotely comfortable let alone enjoyable. The PLA is constantly having skirmishes with India, harassing Taiwan with military aircraft and otherwise, attacking Filipino boats in their own waters, attacking other aircraft and sea vessels outside of their waters in the South China Sea and even today in the news releasing a map that calls part of Russia their own which has annoyed Putin greatly. I could go on but hopefully you get the idea. I understand that there are plenty of great things happening within China and the Chinese people are great as well but to be governed by the one party for 75 years is not healthy. How can it be good for China and the Chinese if the Chinese themselves can't even decide upon who governs them. The CCP is only there because they won a civil war. No other reason. The Chinese need effective governance. Not the corrupt, baijiu swilling, inward looking rabble that is in charge now, thumping their chest in front of the world.
