Ya, I spent my teenage years surfing around Santa Cruz... back then we'd get a shark sighting every couple of weeks. In South Africa we had shark warnings on a daily basis at 90% of beaches, (adult great whites). Thx.

Ya, the surfers heard me whistling and came out quick as you can see near the end of the video. I was actually there to surf but went to Muizenberg beach shortly after chatting with those 3 guys...

How could anyone enjoy being out there knowing you could get bitten in half at any moment ?

@@brandynicole8382 you have nooo idea how corrupt and inept South Africa has become since 1994 when the communist ANC took over the government, we barely have electricity these days, all state owned entities are completely and utterly bankrupt because of the corrupt rot, and those responsible are still walking free, and still sitting in parliament as MP's. Since 1994 no maintenance was ever done to our infrastructure from electricity, water works, sewerage works, roads, government buildings, railways etc. All railway buildings have been dismantled by thieves, roofs, windows, anything they can take, the police are corrupt as well, so no one is ever arrested because its so easy to bribe people in positions of power and responsibility. This is why South African Airways also no longer exist. These days thieves are even stealing traffic lights for scrap metal and cables, our power lines are stolen on a weekly basis for the copper inside. In short the country is in a disastrous mess, which will take years to fix after 28 years of blatent government corruption and stealing. If you're white you cant get a job here because of affirmation action. So many people are leaving the country. Unemployment is at its highest. No company wants to invest here because of government over regulated nonsense. Police stations often have private security companies protecting them. Police stations are often robbed of their guns and ammunition by criminals, or Police weapons are just sold to criminals! Its a huge circus, only its not funny. And still many of the poor people lack basics like running water, electricity, jobs, decent healthcare, and decent education. 28 years and the country is on its knees thanks to this government, and the idiots that still vote for them. You can't fix stupid.

Lifeguard spotted them from his shack, he then changed the warning flag from black to white, which means shark(s) spotted
