Make child care a priority on October 3
Even ECEs working in early learning and child care are unable to access child care spaces so they can return to work.
New spaces are empty spaces without a supported workforce.
Everyone depends on someone who depends on child care.
Make child care a priority on October 3. Your vote matters.

Child Care Waitlists
มุมมอง 22411 หลายเดือนก่อน
Everyone benefits from affordable, accessible child care. Child care waitlists have increased by 100%. Without 3,300 trained early childhood educators we will need to support opening new spaces, the waitlist will continue to grow. Without child care, Manitoba can't work. Make child care a priority this election. #voteMBchildcare #childcarethetimeisNOW

We all have hopes for a high-quality early learning and child care system. Let's turn our hopes into reality when we vote in this upcoming election. Opening more child care facilities does not guarantee MORE spaces for your children. Let's invest in accessible child care. #voteMBchildcare on October 3, 2023.
Manitobans Hate Waiting - Make Child Care a Priority this Election!
มุมมอง 35411 หลายเดือนก่อน

Imagine having to wait over TWO DECADES for a fair wage. Children ...

Do not ever feel like your job doesn't matter or impact children. I was awarded custody of my 4 year old grandson. He was not worked with or received any interventions. He could not speak, nor was he potty trained or eating with utensils. ECE is critical.

I agree with you, early childhood educator doing the best and their pay should increase like other professional work E.g IT or engineering it involves planing, assessing, crtical thinking, solution problem to solve physical activity whole day plus teaching child in a way that they feel its not burdan and its play.

When I got to Canada and got a job as a child care teacher , they told me that one of my duty is to change their diapers!!! And I was shoked! Cause in my country, Iran, teacher don't do that. It is someone else duty to do that! So I quit!

😂 In Germany it´s the same. You are not just a teacher, you´re the maid-of-all-work. At last I found a Kindergarten where we got a helper for the "household chores", otherwise educators must do that too! Unbelievable.

It is the same as in Australia, the educator needs to assist babies in changing their Diapers but teachers aren't responsible for this, @@ylydda
