Big Bend National Park, Outer Mountain Loop, Dodson Trail, Blue Creek Trail, Chisos Basin, East Rim, South Rim, Juniper Canyon Trail, the Window Hike, and Mexico
Erica and I did our version of the Outer Mountain Loop in Big Bend National Park over 4-nights and 5-days. When we were done we also did the Window Hike and went into Mexico at the Boquillas crossing for lunch and to buy souvenirs.
Water - Dodson Spring had a small hole with water, not flowing, that in a pinch you could reach with a cup to scoop up. Boot Canyon Trail had a lot of potholes with water from the spring to the East Rim. They were all at varying levels of stagnant, but reachable and filterable. The basin convenience store had water but there was a boil notice. Other than that everything was very, very dry.
