Hi dave or should I say Gordon lol. Nice vid 👍
I love bread making, my gram and mum gave me a tip when coming to clean your work top,if you have dough stuck on it, use a bit of salt, it acts like an abrasive, so your sponge doesn't get gooie when you go to clean it..bread looks yummy dave
Thanks, yes, it is toast morning beans on toast and marmalade samwiges for tea
Hi Dave, Lee & I really enjoyed your bread, thank you so much. Lovely seeing you yesterday. Ali x
@leealibuildingtheblackswan2098 hi, yes, it's been a long time, nearly 2 weeks. Sorry to have made all the mistakes on the boat, but I think that you will find it hard to fit the other fairleads out far enuf to stop the ropes from marking the paint as with the moring ropes. I think you can get the open fairlands with the edge gards on I prefer the open fairlands for the centre line as it is easier to flip the ropes out when you are in a lock, as it is better to have the rope from the centre of the boat I found when it is locked in at the side and you rope around a bollard and you have large granite blocks the rope can get stuck in the joints and tip the boat up
That looks good. I'll have to try it.
Yes, it is not hard to make
Lovely bread Dave!!😋
Hi dave engine bay looks clean and tidy. Nice job thanks Al & foxy
Hi Dave, great vlog, very useful to know. Glad to see you are keeping yourself busy. Weatherspoons wasn't the same without you this weekend. Hope to see you soon. Best wishes Lee & Ali
Those volunteers are amazing!
Hope you enjoyed your breakfast Dave, typical you having a breakfast wherever you go!
must say the lockes helping me down the flite were so helpful and informative it put me in good state for any locks to come and i would like to thank all you volunteers out there no mater what you do we all appreciate it
Hi Dave nice one. Making us landlocked boaters jealous lol😂
no hope not there is plenty of room out her all you need to do is get your out and looking forward to seeing you yours on the cut
Hi Dave, we are super jealous too! But hopefully this time next year 😊
Nice boat 😊 we got our 30ft beetle from ABNB Marina North kilworth last year. Enjoy the moment but be prepared for congestion on the canals and fewer moorings . Doesn’t make for Pleasure cruising at times.
Boats Looking great Dave. Hope you get chance to fly the plane would love to see it fly. Al @ foxy
Hi u 2, yes, but I have an engineer coming this morning to look at the gearbox, making a noise, but everything else is going ok. I got the files ready but not sour were to send them
Hi dave that’s not good about the gear box. I send you a email so you can attach and send the file thanks Al
Thanks, no, you are not stealing the show it grate that you give comments. It gives me feedback and confidence that I am getting it right
Love that Dave, I may or may not be stealing the shower toilet cassette door idea.. it is pure genius. Boat looks great.
Looks really great Dave! Great walk through 😊
Hi you 2, thanks for all your support. You are gowing to love it out her on the cut
Looking forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks!!
Well done, love the layout of your boat. Thanks for showing.
Thank you it is nice to have a lady's thoughts on it as sometimes I know what I need, but it needs the lady's touches
Looks nice and quiet there Dave. How’s your hand
Hi, yes, all good still playing with Solar and lifepo4, but out her, it is all I thought it would be a new port every knight all though I have thr crick tunnel tomorrow not looking forward to that but it will be the next blog video
Looks nice there , is that Yelvertoft??
Yes, that was yelvertoft, but now, at crick Wharf just before the tunnel, so that is going to be fun, but I have rich and Jake with me to pick up any body parts that may get rip off
@@narrowboatmisfit-zh7qu no smashes your leg off this time
Broke free of the needy neighbours. 😂😂. All the best on your new adventure. ⛴️
No, I just found several thousand more and all nice people love life and it will love you
My most hated lifts were boats. No good pick points to secure my straps. If you slung it from a single hook point the straps would try and slip without a spreader bar.The weight transfer from water to fully on the straps can fool you. Just rotating the boat can transfer weight away from you and pull you over. Glad you are going to be on the move, working on 2 boats was fun to watch. Your approach to fitting out a boat is by far the best I have seen. No over thinking and it was straight forward and good looking. Except the hatch HA. You and Lee should take on the road so to speak and do boat rescues.
Hi, yes, we were thinking of narowboat DIY SOS, not sour if the marinas would like it But there must be lots that need help as for me and Lee I love to teach and won't to learn and ale get it all on camera for you guys to watch I have been setting up my video cameras so I can start. My crossing blogs
Wow what a wonderful moment! we are so glad it all went so well for you. Can't wait to see all your cruising adventures best wishes Lee & Ali
Thanks guys yes all went well and ritch is looking after me balis is sorted The flooring is done and I started on removing all the welding rods ends and rust splatter ready for the paint shop

Have a nice first night afloat Dave
Hi Dave, Lee and I have been swotting up on this video ready for starting the wallpapering. It looks so good! Can't wait to see how it will look in our boat 😊
Hi dave I was wondering if you would share your file for the windlass holder
Sorry, but as you can understand, this design is to be sold by me on the canal network. I posted the video as part of my copyright ©️ protection. I hope you are not upset by this. I do have a free download of my work on grabacad grabcad.com/dave.potter.dpot-1
We see you are keeping busy without us running you ragged 😊

That one was a bit above my head Dave, think I will stick with the painting and designing... Lee said he is not going anywhere near it, well above his head too!! 😂

Great lesson in Lithium battery set up, thanks Dave!!
Very welcome
Wow Dave, master of many trades! Doing a great job on Lee and Ali's boat, and can cook too!!!
lee is doing most of it i just sharing my knowledge that others have shared with me over the years and thank you for the phrase it means a lot to me and the black swan. as for the cooking my old mum and dad gave my a good ground for the life i had to face and cooking was one of the lesions to be learnt thanks and hope all is well with you
@@narrowboatmisfit-zh7qu You deserve lot of praise for your help, but Lee can put his hand to anything too, but guidance and experience counts for a lot... I climb out of our bedroom windows to clean them, at 62.5 and hope that with my regular exercise regime after 38 years I can still be a bit nimble!!! Got to keep fit and mobile if one can. Hubby cannot do..
@@carolj4221 first floor i hope at are time of life we must take what we can and give what we can and live life to the full my wife goes through a lot but there is no stopping her
