So in love with this piece , especially after watching the touching performance of the young Teo Gortler ( a 15-year-old competing in Virtuoso of 2023), and after a bit of searching and listening to many other great violinists’ interpretation, I can imagine Kramer’s sensitivity could have been the model that this youthful and talented Teo adopted for his brilliant interpretation.

An all-time great recording of this work. Kochanski's intimate sound coupled with Rubinstein's fiery romanticism somehow synergize into a powerful joint voice. Every time I relisten to it I marvel anew how fresh and uncanned it sounds, as if two colleagues were playing for their own joy to a small invited audience.

This is actually recorded 1938. The 1926 pressing is found on the youtube channel "logaemsynthgim".

His cadenza is by far and large better and less heavy than Kreisler’s

This is my favorite piece of music. I have heard many recordings. I used to have this LP years ago. This is, in my opinion, unsurpassable. This is the best, the very best performance/recording of this great masterpiece. I cannot imagine it being done any better.
