Martinelli could be a good option as he will likely switch to Saka’s side and partner with Odegaard, Odegaard may also be a good option he was usually the pass before the assist but with Saka out he may be more direct to Havertz or Jesus

The AI Wildcard fir GW18 is Sanchez, Gabriel, Gvardiol and Trent, Salah, Palmer, Mbuemo (+2 cheap Roger’s, Ahmad, Sarr etc), Isak or Jackson (+2 of Pedro, Raul, Cunha or Wood) and then a cheap bench this is of course dependant on your budget available

My initial thoughts say I like the new addition, and it will be interesting to see how it plays out this year and whether next year they keep it as a chip or add the manager into the squad permenantly.

The template seems to be Cunha, Pedro and either Isak or Jackson, all of which have a good run of upcoming fixtures, with Isak yellow flagged and LIV next fixture, personally i wouldnt go there this week, Jackson with Southampton away is a plumb fixture and he is in good form, however he is one yellow card away from a suspension, so for me it would be either Cunha or Pedro this week, of if you want a real differential try Evanilson from Bournemouth.

Moving Robertson to Trent does feel a little sideways, given 3 yellow flags in your squad and keane no longer starting, if I was in your position, I would wait for press conference news and look to bring in players that will play 90 mins every game over the busy christmas period

We all suffer buyers and sellers remorse, especially if we knee jerk after a bad week, be careful not to chase mistakes as this can compound the damage.

Yes Ait Nori is on 4 yellows and will miss one game if. he get s a 5th, so if you are looking for the upside you will need rotation options on your bench

Overall your midfield looks stellar, your front line and back line are where AI is suggesting improvements, Watkins > Wood, Delap > Raul, and it is also suggesting Saliba > Gvardiol. Happy to take a deeper look in the next game week

Unfortunately Haaland will have to stay for a couple of weeks, I had other areas in the team to address first, I am keeping my fingers crossed that he finds his shooting boots soon as he is getting the chances.

@@sagan.r Saka to Son sounded like an early trade in the week, and may cost you a transfer to move it back this week. I love a bold captain choice but remember to pick the player you think will score the most points not the biggest differential 😅

Thanks, agree with Havertz would really like him in my team, even for the next two tougher fixtures, Nkunku is way to muuch of a minutes risk, but wait for a free transfer to move him on, Trippier is an interesting case will see what happens their after the international break.

This felt like the best option at the 7.5m range, all the others feel rsiky for mins, Jackson, Darwin, Toney - Interesting shout on the pens, I have both so shouldl be covered either way

I had watkins in my pre season team until Solanke moved to Spurs, looked like a bargain and freed up valuable funds, but that didnt work our, in hindsight should have waited a couple of games. Watkins fixtures after Arsenal look tasty

I also considered Richarlison, but it feels like a short term move, with Tottenhams fixtures coming up, I am discussing my Solanke Saga in my final thoughts video.

Garnacho is a hold, he has been reported putting in extra training this week, and xMins is over 60, if I had him I would keep him for at least another week before making any decision.

Great shout on the Arsenal defence, if they concede it is a big loss but balanced if they get one it is a big gain, also Gabriel and Saliba are a threat from corners so small goal threat but next to no expected assists. Captains are a big shout and I don’t have Haaland this week as the standout so fingers crossed on Salah vs Brentford for me. With regards to Newcastle it’s a shame about the red card as the result could have been much more in my opinion excited to see what they can do this year as some good price points I. Their team

Captains choices are always difficult but having Haaland or Salah usually ensures you get some return, I wish I was braver with captains choice and will look at this more this season

Yes, based on pre season that was the case especially with Estupinan out injured, but before the GW1 deadline Birghton bought another player for that position, which led to him being loaned out this season.

As an Arsenal fan I may be very biased here but Tottenhams recent defence record is not great to have 4 in a draft team outside of Porro I would be looking to move a couple on if you can get any takers

The Quansah quandary! What would I do? I personally would keep him for the Brentford game as it was a tactical decision not a performance issue or injury, if you don’t have cover and there is a potential price drop I would move on straight away as otherwise you can only afford a 4.0. Defender and the options there are significantly less value - potential 4.5m replacement is Robertson from Fulham - some attacking threat and good fixtures for the next 5 games

Agree it was tactical and I would have liked to hold him, wait and see - but I couldn’t ignore the price drop. As BoJo once said, when the herd moves, it moves! Transferred him out for Robinson 😅
