Thought I’d spend my lunch hour visiting Erith Marshes and looking out for the Jack Snipe which had been observed when this Bittern came crashing through the reeds! So close! What an absolute treat 😍

They'll have mosques built over greenbelt land too. Mark my words, it's already happening. People don't speak out because they've virtually taken away the freedom of expression or the powers to critique. You're then branded an anti-Semitic or islamphobic. They don't build gothic churches anymore.
Lovely video, however I would note orchid poaching is such a prevalent issue, that in future i would suggest avoiding mentions of rare orchids in your videos.
Well done
Well said Donna, encroaching green belt land is a huge problem too . Building for profit is most definitely an agenda that's never gone away .
I’ll tell you who I am at class
It’s me! One of your students!
I didn't know there were seals at Crayford marshes .
Excellent video, with lots of surprises!
“I like to boogie, Jitterbug boogie....” 🎶😄
I love our Peninsula, it’s so vital it remains, we all depend on it.
Walked from Erith to Crayford a few months back so found the video interesting especially about all the wildlife there
I live local so often visit.Didn’t have much luck the last time I went with my camera, everyone seemed to be hiding! Will try again soon. Great video showing the importance of the marshland to the ecosystem
Wonderful footage
Wonderful!
Stunning place. Amazed there are more breeding birds at Swanscombe Peninsula than RSPB Rainham Marshes.
Fantastic video and very informative
Great video ❤️
excellent video Donna, hope it helps to save the site from development
A wonderful video donna. Immediately transports me to this lovely looking place. Your narrative is perfect in describing the many types of wildlife found here. Definately on my hit-list of places to visit in 2021 as I've never birded anywhere around that area before. Very well done.
Very nice. I was out there earlier today.
Thank you for this , I live quite close and also enjoy a stroll there
Excellent Donna.
fantastic Donna, well done,
Fantastic experience Donna. Very well done indeed
Great footage Donna. Perhaps invest in a tripod to add stability to your camera for your lovely birds clips
Great footage Donna
Beautiful to see , Donna
Very nice to see donna
Excellent donna. Brilliant little birds
Nice find and footage , donna
Wow!! Brilliant! Nice one,Donna :)
Trying to keep warm
Amazing capture! That looks like some battle for life and lunch! So the bird was really able to gulp down that huge thing okay?? I wonder, wouldn't such a big fish stand any chance of escaping or even damaging the bird's throat/stomach if eaten in that condition?! Hard to imagine the bird could keep it down and I imagine the frantic fish must be quite desperate once inside the neck?
Excellent. -1.5 EV next time :-)
