I'm an old-time Gator fan here. I randomly came across your channel today. I appreciate your honest assessment from a volunteer perspective. The Gators had more freshmen play last year than any other FBS team. Those guys are now experienced as 2nd year players. Napier is building his style of team patiently, and this team this year will be significantly better. Next year D.J. Lagway, 5-star quarterback, and Gatorade Player of the Year will be the starter for Napier's 4th year as coach. The defense has completely turned over their staff, except Armstrong as DC. and it will pay dividends. Tough schedule, but am confident we make a bowl game at a minimum.

The question is, will James Pearce jr break the record for sacks this season?

Lifelong Dawgs fan. It's going to be a tough year, we've got a really difficult road schedule this year and I think this is a realistic outlook. TN had the 4th best rushing defense in the SEC. But when you break that down that teams ahead of them were UK, A&M, UGA. Of those teams, TN played the hardest schedule. So Imo, arguably the #! rushing defense in the SEC. And that's good enough for a top ten natonally when you consider how the other conferences relate to rushing defenses in the SEC. So, Imo, we are already there and should be solid this season. TN was also the best rushing offense in the SEC last year. So, keep doing what we're doing. The secondary should make up some major ground from 62nd last year. If all other unites are top 20 nationally and translates to top 4 SEC, we're going to be very very hard to beat. Texas had the 116th ranked secondary last year and both teams that beat them had good passing offenses. We do that, we should be Bama at home.

I don't see UGA winning it. Last year too many close calls and ugly stats with an unimpressive schedule as far as SOS. Two games stand at to me for UGA. UGA has to go to Tuscaloosa to play Bama. They have only beaten Bama once since 1984 in Tuscaloosa. And only rushing for 78 total yards vs Bama in the SECCG. Loss imo. Problem #2 is UGA at Texas. Texas went into Tuscaloosa and won by double digits last year. UGA is 1-4 against Texas and Kirby is 0-1 against Texas, latest meeting in 2019. I think UGA loses to Texas also and already has two losses by Oct 12th. Because of the difficulty of the UGA and Bama schedules, two things imo will happen in relation to TN. Both these teams will end up playing in the SECCG or one will, while TN goes 10-2 as well. But more likely for me, UGA if they lose to both Texas and Bama, they will drop a 3rd game to either TN, AU or Ole Miss. TN will either play in the SECCG or still qualify for the playoffs. And it might be more advantageous for them to be SEC #3 at 10-2 and not paly in teh SECCG but still qualify.
