Original 2004 release. It's deep and unpretentious. We didn't do it for money, only for ourselves and those that lived the canyon life.

Footage of Me during my second season skiing, ever. Lots of back seat action. All at Alta, Utah. The rock climbing is under the Supreme lift. Soon after this we discovered Spatulas and everything changed.

Thanks! I was fortunate enough to live in Alta and ski 100+ days alongside some very good skiers. It was either figure it out or go home haha. Making movies got me in with the right crowd. I looked alright in the powder but had absolutely no fundamentals. Barely have them 20+ years later :)

What's your ski playlist? Any songs you can recomend?
Yeah, I uploaded it years ago. The kicker was it happened just a few months before youtube changed their policies on file size and time length. I was going to put it on again but I lost the original file. It's on a tape somewhere, but there's literally thousands of tapes and this point. Like you said though, the skiing speaks for itself.

Great video! thanks for sharing it. Reminds me of many of my favorite times in Utah's light powder as well as CMH powder trips. Wishing I was there again now! Bottomless and breathtaking!

We need more videos like this that celebrate skiing powder. I don't mind videos of the park or of people falling off of cliffs, but it's usually to the exclusion of this sort of video. Now, if you could throw in a little more freeheeling...

It's been ten years since you commented, but I'm pretty sure the original is corrupted. I couldn't get it uploaded correctly at the time and haven't been able to find another copy of it. However I have about 200 minidv tapes kickin around, it might be on there. Will advise...
@atraherne I went to Snowbird/Alta last April, amazing snow then.
I miss the blankets of cold powder every morning, but watching this makes me feel it right now. Excellent.
As a European I was once 2008 one week skiing in Utah; mostly Alta and Snowbird. This was the most incredible skiing i did ever in my life! Nothing in the alps comes close to this!

@wahpowprod Ya, that's the best time of year to ski. Nobody goes, the powder finaly returns after a dry January and everyone but the ski adicts miss out on it!

my mom fell own hard while skiing and i was going and i stop to watch her go down this real steep hill after i did then i realize oh my go my mom is gonna die and then i say her skii go out from under her and i was like aww @#$%, After that she fell down more like tumbled down and so i was like MOM U OKAY? then i hear NO and im like okay we r screwed so i take off my snowboard and go run up the hill and see if shes ok and she fractured her leg and now shes fine
@atraherne That time of the year can be hit or miss. I would suggest end of February-beginning of March.

Alta is the shit. I wish I could ski it more often. Unfortunately, whenever we go to Utah we stay at Park City. Maybe when I go for a weekend with my uncle next year. Nice Vid though!
