Hello! My name is Joel, and I’ve been playing drums since 2015.
I am based in Australia. I did Music as a subject in the HSC and was nominated for Encore for all of my performance pieces, and I attained a distinction in my Grade 8 drum exam.
I mostly play metal (progressive, thrash, traditional, you name it!), but enjoy lots of rock, alternative, and fusion too!
In addition, I have been known to dabble in the world of Guitar Hero, and have some neat accomplishments:
- First Ever 5-lane Expert Drums FSFC (Full Series Full Combo)
- 107/108 FCs on Expert+ (missing Fury of the Storm)

Possibly one of the best covers I'll ever do - pretty happy with this one! I plan on also covering all of Colors, some of Colors II (Fix The Error???), and Obfuscation at some point, as well as the entire Avenged Sevenfold discography (minus STST...).

Very hype FC. I never thought I'd get it, even on CH just due to the tapping in Solo 1. Also happy with it being very clean. This was also the first FC past Solo 1, so I can't believe I didn't choke Solo 2 once lol. Another very fun chart (and speed up). Open notes is such a good inclusion for this song, plus THANK YOU for charting the chorus properly... WoR charting it as straight 8ths the whole way through kills me everytime I play that chart. Strum bridge is weird being quintuplets, but the fret changes all work out fine anyway. Done for CHSC this week (S10 W2).

What drums do you use?
At the time that video was recorded, I had a Roland TD11-KV. Now I have a TD27-KV

How did you connect your drumkit to guitar hero? I have an ekit as well and want to get back into gh but im struggling to find what equipment i need. I play on ps3 if that makes a difference. Thanks
I’m not too sure for PS3 (I’ll assume it’s the same), but on Xbox you need a MIDI cable to connect your drum module to your GH drum controller (you’ll see there’s MIDI in/out ports on both, if your module is not *too* basic). Once you have done that, you need to edit the MIDI numbers on your module to correspond to the colours (you can find this info online, or ask later and I’ll try to find it if you can’t). But then you should be set to play

@@EliteWW correct, you don’t need that to play. Any GH or RB drum controller will work, the RL is just better. No worries, hope it helps

The game probably thinks people are missing because of lag putting them past the hit window but they hit on their screen
