L'autrice dei libri ha dichiarato di essersi ispirata a una storia d'amore lesbica quando ha immaginato il rapporto tra Lila e Lenù. Nei romanzi il loro legame è molto più ambiguo ed esistono teorie secondo cui i sentimenti tra Lila e Lenù vanno veramente ben oltre l'amicizia, non per niente ci sono alcuni passaggi in cui la stessa Lenù s'interroga sulla reale natura del loro rapporto. Il problema è che vivevano in un'epoca in cui le relazioni omosessuali erano mal viste e non avendo l'educazione e la capacità di individuare e analizzare a dovere le loro emozioni, è probabile che non siano mai diventate pienamente consapevoli di ciò che provavavano l'una per l'altra

@psngrl7677 ma chi se ne fregava, se si amavano davvero, che lo facessero, tanto amore o non amore, il Rione era ugualmente contro di loro quindi tanto vale a affrontarlo insieme, io stesso sto facendo una Fanfiction in cui si Sposano e hanno per miracolo una Figlia e poi il loro, non sarebbe il primo rapporto fra donne, Marcela ibeas ed Elisa Garcia fra il 1885 e il 1901 fecero storia in Spagna e in Gran Bretagna negli anni 20 ci furono Virginia Woolf e Vita Sackville-West quindi.............

Conosco benissimo le storie di queste donne, ma ogni individuo affronta le sfide della propria epoca in modo diverso. Probabilmente a Lila sarebbe fregato poco, sin da bambina la sua è stata una battaglia contro la società dei suoi tempi; ma per contro Lenù non ha mai avuto il suo stesso coraggio, tant'è che quelle poche volte che si concede di porsi domande sulla reale natura del suo rapporto con Lila accantona subito il pensiero, pur mantenendo la consapevolezza che Lila ricopre un ruolo enorme nella sua vita

Certo però che come nella copertina del video, Lenú non si affronta mica a ballare con lila e poi sono andate insieme alla festa in cui Lila ballò con pasquale, vanno insieme anche alla festa della Galiani, poi si prendono per mano quando affrontano Don Achille, e camminano a Braccietto quando vengono fermate dalla 1100 dei Solara quindi forse hanno davvero qualcosa e poi dopo mille Liti devono amarsi davvero molto se anche dopo le litigate Si cercano sempre, come quando lila ebbe la febbre, volle Lenú e ci rimase finché non si addormentava e poi immaginarle che si Baciano mi viene così naturale.... Omg!! I looked it up and : " A fun fact about the history of “tween” is that it may have come from JRR Tolkien who wrote The Lord of the Ring books. Some say he came up with “tween” to describe an in-between age for his characters called “hobbits.” Can you believe I didn't know that? 🙈 that was funny. Thanks for the comment
