TANAMI DESERT TRACK WITH TRIP IN AUS
Come with us as we cross the Tanami Desert from Alice Spring’s Northern Territory to Halls Creek in Western Australia in 3 days/ 2 nights! The Tanami Desert, one of the most isolated and arid areas on earth. Crossing the expanse of the Tanami Desert, the Tanami Road is actually a fairly well-formed gravel road (the first 296km is bitumen). It is, however, an isolated route, that is closed after rain. It is recommended that 4WD vehicles are used for the road and outlying areas and you will need to be well-prepared and self-sufficient. The longest stretch on the road without fuel supplies is 772km.Aside from the rugged landscape, hundreds of km’s of corrugated road you can also pay a visit to Wolfe Creek Meteorite Crater National Park to checkout the second largest crater in the world. Alice Springs to Halls Creek via the Tanami Desert is exactly 1000km shorter then going via Katherine. Sent from my iPhone
