The Australian Royal Commission on Child Sexual Abuse investigated the Jehovah's Witnesses. JW records were obtained which showed that there had been over 1800 cases of CSA in Australia involving 1006 alleged abusers reported to elders but not one of whom was reported to the police or child protection authorities. This was because of the Watchtower's rule that, in the absence of two witnesses or a confession, matters will be "left in Jehovah's hands". Consequently abusers remained in congregations continuing their abuse for years, decades even. This rule applies worldwide and thus indicates that the JW organisation has a massive on-going problem with CSA in every country in which they operate. One may well ask if Kingdom Halls, like the one in this video, are safe places for children. The Watchtower has paid out millions of dollars in damages to victims of abuse in out of court settlements Members who decide they no longer want to remain or who are disfellowshipped will be shunned by their JW friends and family, a form of blackmail to pressure them to return. There are many cases of suicide among them. TH-cam has video coverage of the ARC's hearings where elders, branch officials and JW Governing Body member, Geoffrey Jackson, all summoned to appear, are cross-examined on oath. Anyone considering accepting their offer of a "free bible study" (which will be a study of Watchtower literature, not the bible) would be well-advised to research this organisation which many consider to be a dangerous cult from which it is difficult to escape unharmed. You have been warned.
