I live in California and it's not Climate Change doing that. Ask any honest state fire fighter and they always say they need funding that they don't get and authorization to clear out the forest. "Lush" is not how large forests are supposed to be. This is why meadows are surrounded by tons of trees because, meadows are natural fire buffers. The Native American in the area did control burns so there were gaps in the forests so the whole forest wouldn't burn. All before the white man came. It's why the park service does controlled burns now. Sacramento banned logging in the park and so the dead logs accumulate and uncleared undergrowth was fuel and the forests were overcrowded and with faulty powerlines and careless campers on dry seasons start the fires and burn the dead clutter and thus the new forest. Nature is being coddled by radical environmentalism to an obsessive level which does more harm than good. Sacramento lies about their incompetence on Climate Change so they don't have to fix it. I don't hear "Climate Change" these days with all of the atmospheric rivers and record rain and snow. Droughts hit California every 10 to 15 years. I know this because, I've lived here all my life for 40 years. California is naturally a Savannah and the Sierras are a geological anomaly surrounded by desert. Since when are deserts and savannahs supposed to be wet all the time?

Forest fires have been happening for thousands of years. They primarily occur due to lighting strikes or caused by man (not putting out campfires well enough, machinery catching fire, etc). Drought cycles also occur naturally. While forest fires appear bad, please don’t let climate change alarmists brainwash you. The whole “Global warming” theory has been largely debunked, so now the global warming crowd has cleverly changed the name of their cause to “Climate change”. Now they can point to any weather phenomenon (hurricane, fire, flood, drought, etc) and scream Climate Change!" California contains a lot of desert. Man has moved into the desert, irrigated them and tried to live there and grow food. When we get a few years of below average rainfall, some folks scream climate change. No, you have been living in a desert that does not support your lifestyle, it is not climate change, it is life in a desert. When the ice age ended and temperatures rose, was that caused by man? Has Al Gore been spouting incorrect data to support his cause? Climate change is a fallacy created by man. I’m all for protecting the environment, recycling, setting aside land for National parks and forest. But I’m not going to pretend that a forest fire is evidence of climate change.
