Hi. I hate to be that guy telling others what to do but the hive tool magnets in your gloves are a bad idea. Its not natural to have something like that on your wrist and an accident waiting to happen. They shouldnt be sold

you two sure look like you know what you're doing.i see bare feet! is opening the hive weekly typical? is opening the hive considered a stress to the colony? do you think this colony will swarm this summer?
Typically we would not open hive every week. However this is first time I’ve tried a top bar and wanted to learn how they build. So far colony has not swarmed. .
Your comb is so straight! I’m going to look at past videos to see how you do your starter strips. Thanks.
We coated the narrow strips on the top bars with melted beeswax I kept the follow board close to the colony. Did not let the girls have free access to the entire box. Gradually added in more strips as they built comb
