Thank you, this is how the video is shot.
Hey are those air filters? Did you mod the airbox or something?
Hi, this is just K&N 76506915000 on the throttle body
Other air filter is just for venting head cover
@@rossvlogs7015 i was about to ask you this same exact questions again but then i read a comment asking the same question i had and then realised it was me! 😂 how did you make it fit? I'm really interested to do this too as i just had to remove and install the airbox and it was so.. huge for no reason. And the airbox sensor? How did you get that to work?
@@O.R.T.S I drilled a tiny hole in a filter rubber and put into a temperature sensor. Air filter just fits :)
What size is the rear axle nut
32 mm
@@rossvlogs7015 thanks bro
You're welcome
Can you get into trouble codes? im having trouble to conect to mine with elm 327
What model year?
@@rossvlogs7015 2009
Use Konnwei kw902
Sponso Locktite ? xD
Ye, but for free 😅
Thanks for posting the torque specs on the front sprocket cover!! I couldnt find them anywhere! Really appreciate that!
U only have one spark plug on those models?
Up to 2011 was one spark plug.
@@rossvlogs7015 okay 👌 thanks! I'm guessing that changed when emissions got stricter? Or does it also give power upgrades?
Probably lower emission, I can't say much about a power differences. Besides that my bike is running on the evo 1 map. And dry weight is less than 140 kg.
@@rossvlogs7015 yours def a lil lighter than mine! Mine is more 370lb area! I have the rottweiler intake sas delete. Leo vince slip on and PCV tuned for it all. -1 front sprocket and +3 on back for lil more low end fun! Not to sure on HP it's putting out but she RIPS!
@22smcrrider96 very nice setup! Fun for years!
Odpisując na komentarz, który już niestety zniknął spod mojego ostatniego filmu - tak, ja.😉
Ekstra wykonanie zatem! Chyba jesteś fanką numer 1, pozdrawiam 😉
@@rossvlogs7015 Serdeczne dzięki!☺️ Pozdrowienia!😊
are you still using the same set up today?
Yes
What would happen if you engage gear while removing / installing front sprocket?
Unwanted gearbox stress, if we can avoid - just avoid.
@rossvlogs did you ever encounter any issues with this setup? And is the benefit so that you can see when it needs to be replaced? Thanks in advance
Hi, any issues. First benefit - you would often replace it, so fuel pressure will be ok and fuel injector clean. I noticed also that a dirty black fuel from a orginal filter could go back to a fuel pump when bike is off. Maybe that is the reason why fuel pumps often fails? My fuel pump works 6 years now after that modification.
You need to stake the washer. If it does not look good at the old stake point. 180* and stake it there. Locktight alone is not enough. That is why you have a stake washer. If not get one.
I installed the new washer, look carefully.
I stake them on both sides and use orange loctite. When I single staked it it worked loose. I bought a Vanasche case saver so I can keep an eye on it. Orange is in the middle of blue and red. For fasteners 3/4 -1inch
@@elvispusley3515what does “stake” mean??
Thanks brother!
Thanks. I wasn't sure if I should use a drift. This confirmed I should.
What’s a drift?
@@rodstawaa a steel rod to drive out pins.
Hello. How often do you change rockers, and adjust the gaps?
Hi, first changed one rocker arm at milleage 45000 km, clearance checking every 10000 km, but never need to adjust.
@@rossvlogs7015 Please tell me why SAS is being removed? What are the advantages without SAS?
And are any advantages? It's only for emissions limiting while engine is cold. And I use KN air filter instead of original filter box (without slot for it).
Hello. How many kilometers are the BREMBO pads, front and rear?
Here is the Suzuki Drz400s model 0-100 sprint for comparison th-cam.com/video/dTO8ooSWnPM/w-d-xo.html
The nut is permanently bonded to the countershaft... lol I literally cringed at the amount of loctite. Otherwise, good video.
Maybe soon I'll record another replacement and we will see, do not save money on loctite 😀
What fuel filter did you use here? Isn't it installed backwards?
Its Filtron PS 842, it has direction arrow and is mounted properly 🙂
What size is the nut for taking the sprocket off?
27 mm
hi, where did you get those exhaust carbon heat shields? thanks a lot
Probably shields are from sebring exhaust system. But I think you can buy at ktm dealer similar, parts numbers: 7650599005049 and 7650599006049
@@rossvlogs7015 Wow! Didn't know KTM had OEM carbon hear shields! What year is yours b t w? thanks for the support
Its more acrapovic than ktm, but has part number. My bike is 09 by vin, but 10.
Where can you purchase this spring?
Btw, did you find the issue with the bike?
Hi! I bought it at ktm dealer, part number 75036017000. I think the reason is small and light battery from Evo packet. But now (instead of buying new) I think I should try to bend it a little - probably same effect.
2:32 ufff, lucky you :P
Are these custom frame sliders made from axle sliders or did you order these from somewhere? I've been looking for some for my 2010 smc but theyre hard to find it seems
Dont know bro, bought with it. Looks like custom.
Is that a KTM filter?
No
What make was the sprocket?
First signs of wear - bad shape and size of teeth. Just preventing faster wear of chain 😉
@@rossvlogs7015 No, meaning what brand did you go with?
Bought in ktm dealer shop, part number 58033029015. Cheap as other.
You have evo 2 kit including cam?
I have the Evo 1, it means without modified cam.
@@rossvlogs7015 What map did you use for this set up?
Dont know, probably map for that Evo 1 kit, available on the tuneecu web page.
@@rossvlogs7015 thanks :)
Hello, Have it an sound, if not good? How can i, if need change it? :)
You need to check a spring manually. You will see also how easy starter could bring to alive an engine.
Thank you! 💪🏻✌🏻
My engine is hard to start, would be this the problem?
Maybe if starter works slow or stops. Otherwise there could be many other issues.
I laughed so loud when you played that sound clip lol
Jesus dude overkill on the locktite by a large margin.
Agree 😉 It was just close to out of date.
You don’t need to grease the counter shaft
I used cleaner before I put Loctite glue 😉
how many kilometers did you have when doing this?
Like in the title, 44 000 km 🙃
Oooooo, i added two old socks around cam chain just for that to happen, good that you got dat socket out 👌👍👍
Does it have only one spark plug? or two like the DUKE 690?
Only one. Older Dukes had also one spark. Two sparks engine came in 2012.
I had same question lol I did my spark plugs last week on my 2022 SMCR so I was curious thanks!
I literally yelled "OOOooooOO" when it happened! :D
So many heartaches :D
thank you ! I changed following your video
I have a wings exhaust and rottweiler fuel dongle which works great. I also have an evo1 air box which I haven't installed yet because I thought you needed a power commander I cant reflash the 2018 ecu
Why you cant reflash the ecu?
@@rossvlogs7015 2018 and up you have to use a power commander. The software doesn't allow it
What kind of mapping are you using
I guess for an Evo 1 kit. I bought the bike with that setup. Check here www.tuneecu.com/KTM_Tune_list.html
Where did you get the axle slider?
I bought the bike with that setup. Check Aliexpress, there are similar items.
I wondered what that view point looks like. 😅 Nice clip.
Hey mate! Is there any instruction on how to move the fuel filter outside from the tank? Thanks.
Hi mate! I used only basic technical skills. 4 bolts under the tank gets you to fuel pump and filter. Take them out, remove filter and just connect fuel hose directly to the fuel pump. You must of course drain the fuel first. This is most difficult. Installing fuel filter on the hose near the fuel injector I think is to easy to explain. Regards!
@@rossvlogs7015 Hello mate. Did you need different hoses to connect the fuel hose directly to the fuel pump?
@@JinKazama92 No, when you disconnect original fuel filter, the hose fits directly to the fuel pump. You only need new clamp.
@@rossvlogs7015 so you ditched one of the hoses that connect to the fuel filter?
@supermotokev Exactly
The fuel pressure is pretty high for that setup. Have you had any troubles?
Hi! 10 000 km with that setup for now without any problems.
@@rossvlogs7015 Sounds good. Thanks dude.
I wish my '03 640 started that easily :(
Maybe it is time to switch to the 690?
What year bike is this ? and can you also give me some information about the extra airfilter u got next to ur big one also how did u remove oil line and capped it off ?
VIN says it's 2009. Originalny had orange color and older defective speedo I changed for a newer one (in my opinion the best looking speedo of all). The air filter is K&N 76506915000. If you mean the hose on the valve cover - it is flattened at the end and glued together.
What size socket do I need for the front sprocket nut?
27mm
