Just picked up a 2020 dark graphite metallic X3 M today. Appreciate your videos brother. Yours and others helped me out quite a bit with deciding between the Comp and base. As well as finding out some basics about the platform. I test drove probably 5 comps and a couple bases. It was literally an almost imperceptible difference. Back in 2020, you could justify going comp with a 2k price difference depending on options. nowadays with a bigger price difference. And the fact most everyone's gonna modify the things that make it a comp to begin with like the tune and exhaust and suspension.. kinda made no sense. Found a fully loaded1 owner X3 M with M sport Seats and brakes, 50 on the clock for 40k. I'm literally going to modify everything on the car that would have came with the competition package ... so .. After almost buying a comp, I thought to myself.. what's the point of this? 😂 I've always had older M's. E36, and still have my e39 M5 in my pfp. But had to pull the trigger after obsessing over this for better part of a year. Very nice build you got so far man. looking forward to seeing what you do with the wheels! I’ve got the same exhaust and it was one of the first ones they came out with and one side the exhaust flap rattles excessively and is so frustrating and unless I’m sport plus. The only thing Dinan would do is send out a plastic shim kit that only worked for a few weeks and now I’ve had to unplug the exhaust flaps completely so it’s livable. I will be getting Active Autowerks equal length mid pipe and exhaust system and their axle back system is the same price as Dinan. I hope you have better luck with your exhaust and keep enjoying the car. I always thought this was an exceptional vehicle and didn’t understand 4 yrs ago why it wasn’t but now people have come around and the X3M is getting the recognition it deserves.
