It would be nice for you to REVIEW the product instead of just reading the packaging and pointing out one con
@@seriousjones515 I have full review videos. Just go to the video section of my page.
The flipper is better when you get used to it. Particularly when you get the whole snap motion down.
I haven’t seen on of them in a really long time idk the name of them but it’s a worm in it
EDC slingshot? WTF we even talking about at this point?
UH OH Botch Job
Funny video I like it i have the same knife and yeah ain't the best but if you have a good Sharpening skill, you can make of this a really great knife very sturdy
@@christianmelchor6953 thanks for watching and commenting. And for thinking I am funny. Maybe they will remake the ultimate pro version.
I liked how sincere you wete talking about , from one regular dude to another i can really tell you were being honest about the knife, and it wasn't some of that made up test, it would be great to have a better version of this knife, but i thini Gerber now keeps it i ñn different range and prices like pro knife militar grade arround 100 200 dlls or this for us normal folk about 20 40 dlls
The pint has more tool and a corkscrew is useless
That's a Victorinox fieldmaster. Not a huntsman. I reviewed it recently on my channel.
"I can't open the hook after cutting my nails 😭"
@@OguzhanGrlr same.
Nice review. However I have 2 comments. You make quite a deal about the saw not having a lock. I'm not quite sure why that would be a problem, as pressure is ALWAYS downwards. If it's a problem (and I don't see how) one could always stabilise the saw tip onto the surface that the tinder is on, and draw the ferro-rod backwards (which is the popular method anyway). This ensures one doesn't scatter the tinder with a careless stroke. I really don't see it being a big issue ( and apparently, nor do Victorinox!). The other observation is that it appears that the Ranger grip does not have the awl/reamer tool. That is a big disappointment, as this is one of the tools on my Swiss Champ that I most frequently use! The ability to make holes is a seriously important asset. Apart from these two issues, this knife is very high on my list of outdoor tools. BTW, have you any plans to review the V'nox Venture Pro bushcraft knife system? Awesome piece of kit! Cheers mate.
@dennisleighton2812 thanks for the comment and for watching. I'll check out that venture pro system you mentioned. After using the knife more and more my complaint about the saw lock is void.
@@DeepSouthEdc Oops, my bad! On reflection, and because I was unsure I decided to check, and found that the Ranger Grip 79 does in fact have an awl/reamer! So, with your comment, and my mistake, we agree that it IS a damn fine tool set! Also, yeah, you really should check out the Venture! One thing about it is the extremely sharp 90 deg edges it has, both on the blade back AND on the exposed tang! Several very prominent people in the knife world actually claim it is the sharpest one is likely to find on any knife straight from the factory. And the tang curvature is such that it makes a perfect scraper for, say, scraping out the bowl of a wooden cup or spoon! One doesn't see that feature on any other knife I've ever heard of. Worth a good look at. I await your review with anticipation.
You are still my dad
Its the best tool on your knife to use as a vice, for example if you are soldering wire you can close the hook over the wire andnit will keep it in place, also good for getting extra grip on like a small piece of wood you are trying to carve
Makes for a good pocket hook too for denim jeans
سلام قیمت چند
Is that a darker steel than usual?
@grampaeasy3106 it's a stonewash finish
Frank would love this
@@supersolidsnake641 thanks for getting this.
Animals deserve as much respect as us, we all share this planet together with nowhere to go. Humans should know better by now and learn to deal with them on “their” property in better ways

Ha ha! That’s awesome
Thanks for the video. What is the blade length?
@@paraAA82 about 2 and 3/4 inches long. Thanks for watching!!
@@DeepSouthEdc on the contrary, thank you for the time and effort to put this video and thank you for your fast response.
I foresee you will get addicted and fall for that Companion more than all other ones. There is some magic in it. Cheers 🍻 and have great days ahead 🔪
Thanks for watching and commenting. So far, I'm loving the bushcraft black.
😂wanna be snail 🐌
NOPE! NOT ON MY WATCH! 🔥= POLLUTION!!!
I like it. It’s a good size and blade shape for me. I wear it in my sock. I like how the hilt would help my fingers not slip if I stabbed with it.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I'm still looking for that perfect fixed blade for edc...
@@DeepSouthEdc You’re welcome. My girlfriend gave it to me as a birthday present so I like it even more because of that.
Thats why i love this knife because of its versatility in use, it can bushcraft, it can self defense, it can edc and its a combat knife pretty much an all around beast
Gerber multi tools are pretty good for the money, I like the suspension it works well for me I carry one, I used to have one, I can't remember the name of it but it was like a otf automatic multi tool where you pushed the button and the needle nose pliers shot out the front. It was cool but gerber discontinued it, and mine ended up breaking lol
You are stronger than you seem, braver than you believe, and smarter than you think. But most importantly, you are loved more than you will ever know. #StarbuckMinnesotaMan

Work hard. Play harder! I napped all day after that! Lol. Thanks for a great video and all the good luck you brought me!
Right dude, I slept all day too. Can't wait for the next one!
Last summer I bought one of these in denim micarta. ❤️
Nice, it's a great little knife!!
kore is the way to go for everyday esp when I choose to run my 1911
Looks awesome!
I miss mine so much I have to get a replacement. It's a shame Leatherman has abandoned this segment of the market. But other than the less durable steel this tool is amazing so useful.
Cool trip. Have fun out there, dude!
hopefully this is a scheduled re-release and they bring the pro back
GERBER needs to bring back the ultimate pro fine edge full tang with the sliding knife sharpener
lovely
Awesome this nature. Thank you share this video. If you want to start your channel monetization and grow your channel further, I will help you.
Have you tried the Firefield Rapidstrike series?
I have not. They good?
@@DeepSouthEdc Yea they are pretty good I got the 1-6x and the glass quality and value of the optic is crazy good for the price. Would recommend checking it out if you are looking for a scope around 150. When i give it to my friends to guess the price they are typically choose around 300-400. Would love to see a video on your opinions think you would like it
@Spaget453 That sounds like something I'd like to try. I'm out in the desert right now so look out for 🔫 videos.
I see you switched to the kore belts. Def better made. I wish I started with the kore to and saved the trouble.
Same here. Went through 2 nexbelts for my lesson.
That knife looks more like a whittling knife. More controlled carving cuts
😂
I bought one of these and immediately returned it. The battery life sucks and it's nearly impossible to light shit on fire with it since it has no reach. You're better off buying a butane insert if you're too lazy to put more fluid in your lighter.
It's mostly for fireworks tho
thanks! seems like these can be used in different situations. The Raptor seems more for emergency use and easier cleaning. The SOG has a lot of tools, but may be too much for something that may get bloody. It seems more for someone who just wanted to add shears to an EDC, I suppose. Currently the SOG is around $30-$40 cheaper now. I agree with your decision to put the SOG in a FAK. you may need those tools, then.
Thanks for watching and commenting. Both are good options, but for a professional in the medical field, the Raptor would be the choice.
