Gold guilding doesnt age well. I love for my decks to have worn in used look but i want them to ahe well. Gold guilding will tarnish and chip i wish these producers would start using black guilding when the fronts and backs of the cards are black!!!!!

Im so excited for you this deck again. Im putting the main deck and expansion cards in order and going through mine as i watch you do yours. This company is great, my big book came loose completely from the spine and they sent me another one that day , so now i have one to keep and one to use for study. Im sure thos will be another great video. Im excited to build my deck again

Easily the ten of swords, the hermit and the devil are the best looking cards in this deck for me i also have his Fatigue of War deck

I am in the middle of watching this video, you do a great job by the way. I have the later edition. I prefer the earlier edition, size and aesthetic. Now im bummed out and am looking for the earlier edition. I love the alchemical/occult look of the backs AND the larger size cards i love this deck , never use it, but i love it i was never aware of your channel until a few hours ago. Im obsessed !!!

I see advantages in either edition. I think I like the indie a little more because of the size, borders, and saturation of colors. The gold is better in some cards than others, but I definitely don't need it. I think soaping the indie deck will solve some of the stickiness of the rose petal finish. I really appreciate these comparisons, especially when both editions are still available.

I've gone down a rather unorthodox path and decided to keep both versions for some of the cards. If it's meant, it will come out. If not, no harm done anyway, especially if you're into the notion that you're being guided on which cards to pull. I especially loved the 3 of swords, 8 of wands, the Death card, Page of swords and some others. I've also included the Aether suite, I'm learning about it on the go. :)

The dpi resolution looks better at least on camera in the indie deck, but maybe this is the texture of the paper and the way it reflects on the linen finish. Too bad they did not make the images larger on the mm deck, but nice guidebook.

Thank you very much for this review. I wanted this when it first came out on Kickstarter but they didn't ship to Canada at the time and I've been eagerly waiting for the mass market release ever since. To my disappointment, this deck is still not available in Canada right now. But hoping it will be soon. I'm even more excited after seeing this review!

Not sure what happened but there's only sound in the left headphone

After reading your comments, I noticed, as well, that some mass-market cards look less saturated or washed out, but this is not the case off-camera. In fact, some of the mm cards look more saturated at times (off-camera). Sometimes the mm cards look more defined. So, I wonder if this is a reflection issue? I don't know what else to think. I'm not sure why they look this way in the video. It almost makes me question my vision. 😳🙃 I may have to do another side-by-side video from a different camera angle. Thanks for sharing this. I'm still waiting for my mass market copy to arrive. I've enjoyed the indie for a long time now. I guess one could always trim the US Games one if they don't like the size of the borders. I'm so glad they kept the font and the gold accents.

You might not be able to see the color differences, but through the screen its very clear. The mass market looks likes its been through a cheap photocopier, the color are washed out. The indie is far more beautiful.

Thank you so much for doing this, I have the second edition and it is such a stunning work of art , but as you say a little awkward to work with and I currently have hand issues . Thinking of selling off some other decks from my collection that I never use to get this one. The size and card stock all look great. He is such a master of his craft and it is a joy to have this level of art in a tarot deck. Thanks again.

in addition to your comments about the 2 of wands, I've always wondered why Pamela switched the placement of the orb and staff, which I would assume represents the kings scepter which should be in his right hand, orb in the left, just as it's depicted in the emperor card. I've only seen one deck that actually made the switch. I also like the hermit card with the moon phases, which is an ingenious nod to one of the hermits more ancient meanings, that being the essence of time. this goes back to the visconti-sforza deck where an hourglass is depicted. the 2 of cups is nicely done, the image is flexible, leaving it more open to interpretation like in a marseilles deck. this is a beautiful deck, deceptively light and airy, but it's subtle and full of depth, just like your presentations. thanks for posting this.

Lovely video! Thank you! Actually the Death card is very logic in the Tarot of the Dead. A pregnant woman would stand for transformation in the Death arcana, it's transformation for the dead, don't you think so?

Hi I just purchased The Touchstone Tarot U.S.Games , it's absolutely beautiful , the difference is that each card has a gold and then off white framework , then the brown borders . So it is like viewing @ the Art Museum.

Love this video, so many interesting decks that were unknown to me! Thanks for that! The Myths and Legends is definitely going into my wishlist. Also, the Pagan Otherworlds deck... I had convinced myself I didn't want it, but after seeing it here I feel like maybe I do, hahaha!

I love the Shadowland Tarot. Though, I must admit that the first time I saw it when it first came out, I didn't like it because of the "scratchy" art style even though I love ink and watercolor typically. But I kept thinking about it off and on over the years, and every time I saw a video about it, I would be intrigued. A few months ago, I just couldn't get it out of my mind and I watched various walkthroughs of it and fell in love with that very art style that I didn't like at first! It was odd and funny to me. (I also initially didn't like the "no pupils" thing in their eyes either but I find it endearing now). Now I love the Shadowland Tarot and it's a deck that is gentle yet straightforward in its messages (at least, that's how it feels to me). It's funny how our feelings/thoughts about a deck could change so much over time!
