had a '70 R75/5.It had no fuses or circuit breakers.Dont believe me?Look at a wiring diagram for that model. Then there was the double acting front brake......
I was a new rider, still in h.s., and sat on a new AJS "Spring Twin" in the dealer's show room, 1957 or therabouts; handsomest motorcycle I'd ever seen - colors and workmanship were outstanding.
A very well preserved bike in top order with a good steady tickover! As a schoolboy back in the 60's I was in awe of these versatile bikes and there was a scrambler model as well, the G12CS. The De Luxe model spec featured pillion footrests and a stop light - all mod cons 😃!
Lovely bike. I rebuilt a G12CSR while in grad school in England in the early 1980s. When I moved to the US my parents downsized and my Matchless was sold. Alas!
I rebuilt my mates AJS-650 bottom-end when I was 15 (still in High-School ) , that center-bearing was supported by a separate 'carrier' for want of a better term . It was fixed to the case by studs from memory , one was snapped clean-off and we left it . I have never stopped thinking to this day ..that we should have replaced it , though the bike ran fine and he sold it to buy a 750 Commando Dave nz
Appears brand new , the seat piping is usually white , perhaps you had it recovered. A California bike , that explains part of the cleanliness . I'm interested in how many miles on it .
Hi Derek, this bike has been completely restored including a very thorough rebuild of the motor using NOS at great expense. The bike is currently for sale.
Who did the restoration? Looks fabulous!
Same thing here. No fuses, no breakers. Pretty straight forward .
I like this it.
that´s only one cylinder firing ...

Of all of the motorcycles that I’ve owned, my favorite was my 1982 BMW R100RS. One of the greatest motorcycles ever made!!
Thhe BEST of British
A friend of mine had a 1974 R90S he bought in the UK when we were in the US Navy. And another friend had a R75 in California.
Beautiful ❤
Magnifique 😍

A Perfect bike. 😊
Lovely old bike - the Matchless/AJS twins had a centre bearing crank arrangement which smoothed them out
