Thank you for viewing my channel. I've been riding bikes since the mid 80s and currently ride on the street, dirt, super moto, and am a coach for a few track day organization in the southeast. I hope that you enjoy my little corner of TH-cam. Please leave a nice comment or Like.
WV VFR off roading: Odd Road/WV 33 to WV 1 to WV 10
Never let friends plans the route. LOL! It was a memorable ride "making time" to get back before dark. We got to see all kinds of animals, most unfazed by our presence. I love these kinds of trips.

Heading back to the hotel closing in on dusk. We already saw one deer up close and personal during our extended time/miles day. We totaled ~250 miles of curves when all was said and done.

17 was just another lovely ribbon of WV pavement. the roads are so much cleaner and in better shape than here in NC, where they have been terrible for 3 years.
WV 10 Man to Logan Highway

Once on it again, I remember how visually lovely this highway is. The stepped rocks on the side. The open sight picture. The exit providing the option for a bridge which I miss nearly every time I'm here. My riding buddy missed it this time and I took the lead while I got back on track!

Beautiful day once the rain stopped. Riding in WV is a real treat with wonderful, friendly people and incredible riding with minimal traffic.
Oh deer, Ilya!

Moments before this I suggested the pace slow to match the conditions with challenging lighting, difficult road surface with minimal grip, and the time of day for critters!
Rolling through Princeton WV

Getting out for day 2 in WV, one of the loveliest places to ride in the whole country. This is just a cruise out of the hotel with construction out front and rolling out of town. I was amazed at how much business and how many restaurants were available.

He’s doing very well!
Heads up, prob want to avoid Double Island till after we get a couple rains forecast for end of near week. DOT cleaned ditches and left a thin layer of dirt, gravel and hydraulic spills, they're not finished.. Plus, another hippie convention w/ non-locals who straddle the double yellow and have their minds on anything but driving.
Thanks! Planning WV for the next one.
#717 here! That was my first weekend riding Road Atlanta and it was a blast!
Really great to have you with us. It was a pretty good time!
I see my bro John getting after it.
Excellent!
I see ya out there having all the play time. Damn it was hot!!!!
❤awesome
It's incredible how stupid these animals are, perfectly timing running out onto the road to get hit by a vehicle, even here with a vehicle as small as a motorbike; it's still dead-centre for the perfect T-bone collision.
Awesome ❤
Man you find some good roads
Thanks! I bore easily...so I keep a list of ones to go on and ones to avoid. The gravel is killing us for the third year in a row.
@b-radsadventures6846 totally get it with the gravel I had a crash with Gravel and then off the mountain roads. Stay safe buddy
Yep gotta be safe...gravel is no bueno. Z900 rider here in Northern KY. Two wheels down brother ^
Got hit by a small deer yesterday @ 1:59 from the right at about same speed you're going...was at an angle hit the engine guard/crash bar on the Guzzi, broke its neck. Odd thing is that if I had been going slower(extra careful), say 30 it would have run into it which would have been much worse for me.
The gods were on your side! This was the first trip in that area where I didn't see a deer. They nearly always run across in one area with a high grassy hill. We also had nearly everyone move over for us yesterday. I haven't seen that since the 90s.
Sound seems off-too high pitched?
It is a CB-1 with a Kerker, so it sounds like an older F1 car. lol The case gives it a little high pitch (vibration?) compared to real life...but I'm cheap and couldn't get any microphones I tried to work well. Just the GoPro mic.
A type of Katydid!! Not a spider
What is that???
No idea!
@ 7:55 used to love to charge this turn, brake hard and gear down @ the black mailbox, not anymore...several times the people who live off the drive to the right @ 7:58. The 5 mailboxes are theirs and they pull over and stop to get their mail daily, they will also turn left onto their driveway here-especially a woman in a Silver Surburban- you can't see if there is another vehicle in your lane until after you make the bend, had to brake hard and swerve into other lane last week to avoid collision- and I was going slow , expecting it as it's happened several times before.. also the drive on the right at red brick house "the farmyard- had to dodge ducks, a cat, and a horse that got out in the last year " they will turn left before the top of hill and be in your lane- you can't see them until you get to top of hill. Only critique-stay in right wheel path on these blind turns as people are bad about crossing double yellow here (and other places-survival line not racing line)-looks like you are going slow enough and trail braking as to be able to react. Another couple bad places (when coming opposite direction) @7:00 and @9:25, people turn left before they get to the road so you come around curve and you lane and half the other is blocked- last time was an old Black Dodge Ram - had to straighten it up and do a Moto GP style brake w/rear well off ground(KTM) to just avoid collision, was headed straight to that corn field but with about 2 inches pavement left, got it turned. There must be 3-4 X the traffic plus lots of new driveways than when I moved here in 2010. I don't ride over 20 min(KTM) or 35 min (Guzzi, Helix), 99% on this road, would like to think I know it well, last year around 6800 total miles on 3 bikes-keep thinking someday I'll meet you on the road but I usually ride earlier in the day, 2-3 pm. V4 sounds great, really enjoy your vids, keep them coming.
Very kind of you to take the time to write a note. Thank you. There's so much processed video out there. I like to just post it raw. I do need to find some other locations on the bikes though. Double Island, parts of 80, and 226A are some of my favorites in the area. Also gaining an appreciation for 88 further NE. Plenty of challenges.
You have been doing a lot of mountain riding Lately. How is the pavement on 80?
Videos of the area are loading tonight. Have a look! 80 is pretty good. This is year three with a LOT of gravel in the area on all of the roads. I know not why they have to use it nor why the cars drive over it. :) I want greeeeep!
Hi beautiful ❤❤❤
As a real motorcyclist, the only harley "drivers" I meet, spend more time putting on their cosplay outfits, than driving to and from the local bar. If Hollywood told them Miatas were cool, the same 1diots would be driving one of those instead!
Dat squid life!! :)
Even if you had not said you were riding a V - Four, I would have known it was a VFR by that unmistakable sound. I owned a 99 and a 2001 for a total of about 50,000 fantastic miles. The VFR made everyone's best bike choice in multiple categories for nearly a decade. I rented a variable valve VFR in Italy. Although a fine MC, the 99 through 2001 were, in my opinion, the best. Thanks for a short ride down memory lane.
Thanks! I rented a VTEC in NZ and absolutely hated. Tons of power came on at full lean while building revs. Even worse in the rain!
I can't tell the difference in sound between this and an Aprilia V4. What's the distinction?
@@aluisious They're both good bikes. Just preference. I've not like any Aprilia I've ridden, so VFRs for me...pre-VTEC. A quick Google will take you to many forums where there is a dabate on your question! :)
You’re lost. Admit it.
Very quick bike, what is it?
Ancient VFR800.
Sharp footage. :)
Love this ride! 19e and 421 across Holston and Iron Mountain has be one of best roads in our area.
Cool video! Getting back on the gas before the apex will really help you improve your cornering.
You're kind. Thank you! I was afraid to unweight the front. It really highlighted bike and bike setup. I was getting some compliments about riding around the shortcomings, but still...I brought minimal skill or knowledge to this day. Just getting my feet wet to see if I want to add it to my big track days on normal sized bikes. The front was squishy and the rear was sliding. lol I still had a blast with some buds, one broke the track record while we were there.
It would have been considerate of you if you moved into the left lane so the nice old car on a trailer could merge into traffic.
Appreciate the insight, but there is a long blend lane there, so no need, and the Tesla was coming up fast but then slowed like people do. Plenty of room for everyone as it was. Seems like we're always managing gaps on today's roads.
sounds like a 5th Gen
nice...
Looks like a 58 Plymouth Sport Fury of course I was only 2 or 3 years old then. My best friend in HS mom had an old 59 one they hadn't driven in years, it had a 392 Hemi. The car in the movie "Christene" was a 58 Plymouth ,think this is it th-cam.com/video/wQAQ1qtrTbI/w-d-xo.html
My dad thinks it is a 1957 Plymouth...
@ 4:55 in the video for the 58 above the taillight matches the taillight in your vid @0:09-tailight is BELOW the fin, notice also the emblem on the side of fin, and the fake spare tire trunk lid . A 57 has the taillight IN the finlike in this vid @0:45 and flat trunk lid. th-cam.com/video/rFDbogxz_TQ/w-d-xo.html
Spirited yet responsible. Thanks for bringing us along.
Thanks! Nice low key day. There's been so much gravel the last few years.
Taking advantage of warm days while the leaves are still off, folks are home from work and before tourist season. My house is behind the track hoe @6:36.👍
You live in a beautiful place! Do you know the guy at the start who turned off to the left in the black vehicle?
nope @@b-radsadventures6846
WTH is wrong with people posting a rear view on track are you recording your girlfriend or what
I should post only what you like? :) Many people like video of themselves following a coach. It is a decent teaching tool. My pet peeve is helmet cams. They make me sick to my stomach!
Hey mate, would it be nice to feature your clip in my next episode? Credited of course (watermark and link to your channel).
Sounds good!
Thanks a lot!@@b-radsadventures6846
Hey fella. All good to feature it? Full credits given, of course! Thanks!
Sure thing.

Where's the bear?? 😅
No bear. No beer. Just deer, oh dear!
@b-radsadventures6846 hahahahahahaaa... you're goood! Write a poem! 😊
Hey Brad, thanks for taking your time to coach me on 9/1/23 at Road Atlanta. You followed me in, mid-session when I stopped for fuel. (Black and blue GSXR, #55) Cody L.
You were looking good! Hopefully see you out there again.
Yea RA is a hp kinda track.😁👍
The exhaust sounds nice from there
Do you have any from the last session I was behind you for a while on the white r7
R7 is posted, but 4K will take about another hour. Let me know what you think in the comments. How'd you do?
I felt good I could work on some more body position but happy with it
Damn that pass was close for sure.
Rider’s meeting: Please don’t pass CR’s on the right… we are looking over our left shoulders often and we can tend to drift right. Riders: *nod heads* Also riders: So buzz you on the right less than a foot away? Got it…
In fairness, this weekend was a test to allow passing on both sides, as Intermediate don't need a waveby anyway. The track is very wide. Bikes are ~3' wide...so there's plenty of room to pass safely, and not very close (we used to say 6'). An inexperienced rider could have easily been spooked. Good catches.

Those are some truly great roads, if a bit rough-just like here in middle Tennessee. But beautiful scenery!
Road number
Is that a question? No idea of a #. It is Ellijay Road. Thanks!
Hey number
