Rhett Barnwell has an extensive and versatile background as a performer, composer, and arranger. He began his musical life at the age of ten, with the cello, clarinet and piano. He went on to study French horn, bassoon, organ, and eventually the harp. After earning a Master's degree in horn performance and working on a Doctoral degree in Choral Conducting and organ, he felt a calling to sacred, healing, and meditative music. He began playing healing music for patients in hospices, nursing homes and hospitals in the early 1990's, primarily using the harp and cello. He began to arrange accessible music to fit the needs of this work, and Seraphim Music was born. Seraphim has continued its mission for over 25 years to provide sacred, healing, classical and meditative music for both lever and pedal harp, along with voice and other instruments.
