That high pitched noise is caused by your power supply. I had the same problem until I purchased a "JOYO" brand power supply.

I was very skeptical about buying non - UK manufactured Marshall amps. Today, I have both the DSL 100 and the DSL 40CR Combo. Glad I bought them, both are simply amazing.👍

All of what you say is great. Back when I was gigging with my old band from '98-01, my guitarist only had a guitar, case, guitar amp, cabinet, a cable, and picks. He might have had a guitar stand. I don't think he had a spare cable. He never had a spare guitar, and when he'd break a string, our set was over. We'd usually finish out the song, but as a trio - bass, drums and vocals, it wasn't really "our sound". I've had strings break, and always had my spare bass tuned and ready to go.

I've just got a Marshall DSL100 HR and I am really disappointed. The midi switching system is near useless. The Softube emulated output is terrible and not at all usable. The clean channel distorts when the gain is set about 9 o'clock. Not good at all. A real waist of money.

Shinedown fan or not, I think this scale length is great for kids with smaller hands & something they'll continue to use all through their guitar journey.

Good review!! To me the so mistreated crunch channel sounds good! I am 60 yo and I like a lot old rock psych music. It sounds as a fuzz at low level, You don't need such kind of pedal!! Probably it would need an eq to round the sound and/or a sustainer, but it is a good starting point to me!!!

6:03 are saying guitar DI amp, only fix tiny bit of reverb? Can you guys please tell me if I’m hearing things? but gee it sounds like distortion big time in there to me or overdrive/gain being pushed on amp? It mat be the bridge pick he has selected,.. I dunno? I’m at 10:45 now and he says, ‘I’m on the edge of break up’ a setting on the amp, but what has he done to get that distortion? Pushed the gain? Contour? Hell I’m annoyed ! He said he’ll play it clean ! Bit of reverb. There’s more going on there surely? I came here to hear the clean sound of the guitar, and some technical info.

Why you chaps over there always pronounce the "th" sound like an "F" sound? Three sounds like free, through sounds like fru, etc

I have both the Yellow Fall and Dark Mouse (my only Donner pedals so far) and they're both incredible for the price. Can't recommend them enough.

I think the main thing that would differentiate this from a typical Les Paul is the lower weight of the chambered body, mine is 7lbs 4 oz vs about 9 lbs or more for LP. I have seen these on Reverb or eBay with stated weights of 8 lbs and as low as 6 lbs 15oz.

Only a complete clown would thin that amp is great for gigging!!! Thats the last amp I would ever gig with. I have 8 Vintage Marshall plexi's from 1968 to 1971 and they are amazing giging amps.

I believe “foto flame” (or photo flame) is actually a photograph, whereas a veneer maple top is a paper-thin slice of wood.

I much prefer those single cut PRS’s to their double cut style. Especially the ones with a bound fretboard! The Mark Tremonti ones are nice.

I’ve been a fan of clones since I found about them a couple of decades ago. I have a zvex machine clone that totally scratches the itch. I never turn it on and start jonesing for the real thing. Same with a mid-fi clone I got. I got a behringer super fuzz clone that kills. I don’t need to do a side by side when it’s fulfilling its purpose. Same with the danelectro French toast which is a foxxtone fuzz, crappy enclosure but huge filthy sound. They sound killer. I’m much more concerned with how I’m going to use them and how they can serve the song. Imo If you’re just jamming at home and not doing any recording then I get why people might be a little anal. But once you start recording everything needs to be sculpted to fit in a mix. You start to see how ridiculous it is to fret over one pedal having slightly more low end. 9/10 you’re gna shaving a lot of that off unless you have a very sparse mix. How a guitar sounds in solo is meaningless in a mix. How it plays off the other instruments is everything. You might have the tone of your dreams but when the singer comes in the song loses its focus and the guitars become a distraction. So you compromise and seat the guitar a little further back in the mix while the vocals are playing. Ultimately the song and playing trumps all gear. Time and time again we hear examples of this. Great vid and I agree with your assessment.

Nothing like a strat but I think if you were using a Tele, you could almost get the Albert Collins effect.... something about a Bugera I haven't quite figured it out yet..... my t-50 Infinium has the technology to heal tubes and keep them leveled out, yet it mystifies me I think I need to just rip loose and use a good speaker cabinet...

I have the same guitar in Lake placid blue. I put satin Fender locking tuners and swapped out the pickups to Duncan antiquity texas hot retrospect. It's absolutely perfect.

Money’s not the issue so much as it’s kinda fun to mess around with them.

Good set of Grover locking tuners and a roller bridge take care of a lot of tuning issues! The stock tuners are garbage. Other than that, it's a fantastic guitar!
