@@raiderboatshaha no worries, just messing
That is a beast and would be the dream. I'll call you if I ever win the Mega Millions 🤣
Great video brother! I can’t wait to get myself in one of these!! I’m in south FL so I def need one with AC
Love the set up!!! Especially the innovative organization ideas. Boat Goals for sure...Thanks for sharing
Great detailed walkthrough. Love the boat and setup. Perfect hunting machine!
Excellent video Jonathon. Always innovating. Get me excited for an upgrade in the future!
Aluminum anodizing is increasing the thickness of the oxide layer on the surface of the workpiece. Beautiful boats.
Man I would love to see this beautiful boat in person! Great videos I’ve seen on your boats brother!! I’m coming to you guys for my next boat. My goal is in the next 5 years. I’m from south FL, do you guys have AC as an option? Also do you offer any veteran discount?
We don't have AC at the moment but we're working on it. Without a Genset AC gets tricky. We work with dealers but when you're ready reach out and we will get you in touch with the best source for the model you're looking at.
Beautiful Boat!! I really like the music in the video. Who is it? Hopefully I will be ordering one in the near future.
if money doesn't matter YOU TALKED ME INTO BUYING A NORTHRIVER BOAT . MADE IN BC CANADA 5208 aluminum 1/4 inch bottoms & >190 sides< . on all of the north river boats . built for canadas west coast on canadas west coast . these beasts are overkill & you have to upsize the engines for the weight . do i need that much ? i am thinking of running out to pine island & swiftsure bank , a few areas out here on the bc west coast can test you . the northriver factory is closer to my location you did get me looking , i liked your presentation , it was product informative & interesting. the raiders are a nice quality build & boat ; for the money investment ill be checking out raider boats when i see the videos come up
@@CANADAFIRST-4-TRUMP I’m confused… North River is built in Roseburg Oregon, not Canada. They use the same materials we use which is 5086 h116 on the hull plate. It’s an industry standard. Anything different is used as a cost reduction in manufacturing. Added weight really translates to minimal fuel burn difference and depending on the size, if I built say a 22’ boat with a .190” hull plate I’d recommend the same hp as we do currently.
i know more than i did 32 minutes ago about choosing a boat
Woow just awsome ❤🎉
I have 2014 24 foot thunderjet. In Canada it model name is tyee. Its very steep rides and cuts even big chop and swells very well but has very shallow chine. If running on step and some happens to walk around I definitely know it and have to adjust trim tabs I see the newer models have a way wider chine now I’m wondering how much ride (cut). It loses to gain how much stability? And btw your raider boats are very nice really like you roof design will definitely be taking one out when it’s time for the next boat
If I ever win the lotto the first thing I'll do is buy a offshore from ya. I'd probably just run it in the great lakes but still what a beautiful vessel.

@@patrickgreen7308 we do. Raider Boats
How much time does it take for you to assemble and weld a boat like this?
Great video. I’d like to see a little more detail on the ladder buoyancy and also the wash down scoop placement and dimensions as it causes me some questions
@@avidsledder what questions do you have? The ladder isn’t boyant. It’s made to sink so it’s easy to step in when boarding. The scoop is forward of the transom offset of the keel located at the intake through hull.
You mentioned using 1/4” plate for the bottom. I checked a site in Canada and most of the models are .190 bottom plate. I am looking to buy a new boat and I want 1/4” bottom plate.
Site in Canada? All of our boats 2024 and newer are all 1/4" bottom plate. What model are you looking at? You're welcome to email us direct with any specific questions. JonL@RaiderBoats.com
@@raiderboats I was looking at the Pro Fish 220. And a few others. I have been on so many sites now I can’t remember what site it was on.
@@raiderboats I can’t send an email. It keeps saying my email address that I’m using isn’t valid. Do you have a link to any Canadian Dealerships. Preferably on Vancouver island or lower Mainland.
@@raiderboats I’m wondering if they were 2022 or 2023 models maybe.

Wow. What a great video. As a new to boating prospective buyer this was massively informative and helpful for learning. Plus, a company owner involved and “ in the trenches “ with the product, speaks volumes. This is what passion looks like. Keep this up, this is how you get customers. Great job.
It's heart breaking to wait months for your dream boat only to see it for the first time and it's missing the welded rub rails you ordered.
I'm terribly sorry for this. Orders are placed from the dealers and we build per that order. I will get with our order team as well as the dealer and see what can be done and what happened. Please send an email over to CS@RaiderBoats.com for quicker correspondence. My apologies for the delay in response, I just now saw this.
Absolutely gorgeous boat!! I’m sure it’s highly functional as well, but dang! That’s a beauty ❤
I appreciate the candid comments on the video and in the comments below , helps me understand this issue a lot better

So captain knowledge?!
Really fantastic. I’m tired of all the floating Winnebago walk-throughs. Just a great vessel Jon....you should be very proud of it. THAT is a fishing boat.
Thank you for the detailed tour of a great boat
Nice walk through Jon! That rig looks sexy!
Congrats Jake!
Sexy
Very good explanation of everything you talked about ! I love to overbuild things and having owned several boats both fiberglass and aluminum I am glad to see a boat builder overbuild their boats to eliminate their customers from having problems down the road. Congrats to you and your company, fantastic job ! ! !
This is the best, boat manufacturing video in existence. My boat manufacturers just focus on the boat on the water but we expect the boat to function on the water. Thank you for deep diving into your product.
Thank you!
Beautiful work sir. Outstanding presentation of the quality differences between brands and fabrication philosophy. Old school stuff. Very refreshing.
Thanks Todd!
Very cool! Best boats around period. You have to own one to believe it they really are
Silly question: Can the rear bait tank option be upgraded to 80 gallons with filtration and "secrets" the buyer provides? Would that be to much weight in the back?
Is the want to keep Catfish alive? Or for live bait? What do you mean by “Secrets”? You’re welcome to email us directly at JonL@RaiderBoats.com
@@raiderboats To keep a specific bait alive that is difficult to keep alive.
He is wanting round ends to probably keep smelt alive. Also constant circulation. It's not a secret. Most boat designers design for the masses, not a particular bait. There is already an aluminum boat manufacturer that has this option.
@@jamespierson9312 Not smelt and not the secrets. 😎
@jamespierson9312 This bait tank is designed for keeping anchovies alive which are some of the most sensitive baits to try and manage. Much more too it than rounded corners. I saw another manufacture started doing that to their boxes this year, that's a fraction of the problem but the most talked about.. their design still won't work. If we're talking about keeping anchovies alive which this OP isn't. We've been doing this in boats since 2021 and started designing and prototyping it in 2019. No one does this in aluminum boats, 99% of salesmen couldn't tell you the difference between a bait tank and a livewell.
Wow awesome Quality and thought are built into your boats.
Thank you for your kind words!
These Raider boats are leaps and bounds better than 15 years ago
Thanks Dan! Jon and his team bought the brand in 2018 and really lit it on fire. We're having a lot of fun and building an outstanding platform along the way. Thanks for the kind words!
Literally my Nw fav. Great job
Seems like trying to sell the truck more than the boat
Naw.. truck is shown in the first 1/3 of the video always attached to the boat.. boat was the rest of the video. But since this color was brought to us by Toyota, this was a commercial spot in conjunction with a local area Toyota dealer.

My best friends son-in-law has an unlimited 100-ton Captains license, and he runs a charter boat company when he's not at sea. He owns a 30' North River offshore. He occasionally borrowed my 220 Profisherman for personal use. He always compared it to a sports car as it could turn on a dime while maintaining control. Hop up on step quickly with a single 200hp Honda. Personally, I've turned sharp enough at speed to appear to dip the rail. But I've never felt it slip in the turn.
You're a hellova guy, Jonathan! You've always been responsive to my questions about my 2017 220 Profisherman. And you were not responsible for its build. Speaks volumes about your passion and dedication to Raider boats. I wish you well and hope to make a boat show one day to see your newest Raider beast.

No better boat built for the sport fisherman. Jonathan also has the best customer service and highest quality control of any of the boat manufacturers. Absolutely love my 240 Pro Fisherman.
Don't chines also help with reducing the rate of splashback into the stern deck? We were in a raider on a albacore run last year where the crosswind was blowing our spray (which was going high due to lack of chines) right into the stern and the captain was judging if we should scrub based on how many minutes on and off the automatic bildge was runing. He was fine with 9 minutes on 1 minute off every 10 minute increment😅. Little nervewraking.
Depends on the wind scenario. A non chine flat boat will be wetter.. typically. Everything is a give and take and I've been on plenty of chine flatted boats that in a hard quartering that's windy got very wet, some also just had a lot of weight that punched through swells vs over them. There is a glass boat brand of big 30' offshore boats in a port I run out of. Lots of bow flare, big chine flats yet they run canvas curtains over the back of the cabin wall so people sitting just outside of the cabin don't get soaked . There is a lot more to that than just chine flats but it is a factor. Everything is a give and take. Whenever we make a change, we have to be improving something of higher value than we're creating.
