I understand the question. Because what is Slow Bal? There are so many different opinions about it. But if you would define it as a dance that is danced to slow jazz music, that is what they are doing beautifully. A dance is always evolving with time. People adding their own experience to it (do I see some folk influence in this dance? ;) ).

This looks like a lot of fun! Marine's choreography is cool and she has great style!

Skye’s dancing is effortless because he listens to and loves the music. Due to practice and mastery, there’s no disconnect between the music and his body. The interpretation is completely synced between music and body. In my humble opinion of course 😊

This is beautiful, and I love it. But... There isn't a single slow bal basic step in the whole dance. How is this "slow bal" as opposed to just a kind of free style couple dancing?

Schön, dass Du dieses Thema besprichst. Hier noch eine Ergänzung: Das Knie ist ein Dreh Scharniergelenk. Es kann strecken, beugen und eine leichte Drehbewegung machen. Knieschmerzen beim Tanzen kommt ganz oft durch ein forciertes turnout. Dann wird gesagt " Knie nach außen" geht aber nicht, wenn man im Hüftgelenk nicht die nötige Beweglichkeit für die Außenrotation hat. L.G. Sarah
