Thank you, thank you, thank you 🙏 driven to distraction by the bonnet switch setting the alarm off all day and night. Your hack was easy and works. Ford wanted £200 to change the lock mechanism and switch and they can’t fit it in until December 😮😮😮 cheeky f***ers. All sorted in less than one minute, cheers for that.

Next time try First a vacuum. Try to suck out the debris before pushing it further down in the drain where it might get stuck and can't clear.

Legend mate. Been following give guides all morning and couldn’t get it fixed. Your video sorted it right out !

This worked great on my 2017 Fiesta. Alarm was randomly going off and the bonnet open warning was also triggering every time I stared the car. I added / wrapped the paper clip with some electrical tape over the whole thing, just to keep it in place and hopefully more water resistant. Thanks for this guide.
