Good break in oil! I like to add a shot of zddp on the break in for engines with cams and lifters. Not sure about the 5000 engine though!

Pretty sweet build. I have all the same table and rolling tool cabinet just different brand and I may need to copy your design only think I will add adjustable feet at the ends of legs since my workspace floor sucks and isn't level or smooth anywhere. I also may try and incorporate some gas lifter arms or some type of tension spring to reduce sight when folding and unfolding the table. Looks pretty sweet. Wished HF would just start selling the table topper by itself at a cheaper price since any serious hobbits is gonna modify it anyways. Give us the option of buying a full kit or just table top for us DIYers and they would probably sell more especially if it were just 2 or 3 mm thicker.

Any form of repair should not be undertaken if it is on the shoulder of the tyre, unless it is near the centre and facing inwards, and that puncture is on the outside of the shoulder. An absolute no no.

I lived in the Santa Cruz Mtns and there are many carpenters. Nails fall out of trucks. So you always carry plugs and fix a flat stuff. You get a couple of flats year. or more. I had one of the units shown here. I didn't like it. The plugs will walk out. "the strip thing" works better, my experience.

Just bought one and i live at high elevation and camp / hunt at even higher here in eastern Oregon.

You didn't compare price. US General is under $20 where as the kolbolt is $25 or $30 I believe. The only advantage the Kolbolt has is the colors but I'm sure harbor freight will eventually match all their toolboxes and have more colors.

Wife was complaining about my mess on our dresser. So my blue u.s. general is sitting there. Key fobs,ink pen, nail clippers in lid, earbud, multipliers in small drawer. Wallet and gift cards in bottom. Awesome and neat.

US General has roller bearing slides over whatever kobalt uses.

The US General with the life that stays at around 90 degrees is a plus for me. Price also should be a point for USG. Otherwise great comparison. Fun to watch as I knew it would be.

If you move the generator off the concrete into the grass, it will be much quieter.

Well I actually mounted it in the plastic battery tray cover in my trunk and I’m able to fit all the once scattered tools throughout my car in one nicely organized place. Everyone has been speechless of the integration and how it looks like it’s been there all it’s life 😊
