I have a '67 incoming, and I've just played about 10 demos (Ampeg Reverberocket 2 GS-12R) to see what the amp can really do; and basically all of the demos here show the amp playing some kind of smooth jazz, or country pickin' or something sweet and mellow (sounds great, but not at all how I hope to use the amp!). It wasn't until I stumbled on this demo that I knew that the amp could (and would) do exactly what I wanted it to do and that's what I bought it for...many thanks! 😃😎

I can respect the time you put into it, but fake using a guitar is the stupidest Poser thing someone can do. 😂 just use it, and worry about getting better at playing, not getting better at faking that you played the guitar for way longer.

Fake playing would be saying you can play when you can’t, having a guitar that looks worn or old because you like the style has nothing at all to do with how well you play, being a “poser” is really just calling everyone else a poser for stupid shit

The guitar is from the 1960s and already had the blemishes on the wood itself, so when he refinished it, he added the ageing to the new finish as well.

Nice. Great to hear it play at the end. Would have loved to hear more of that D18. Currently working on a neck reset and refret on a lawsuit era MIJ 1977 Takamine F400 12 string. It is a saw-off and convert to bolt on, has 5 dowels, not a dovetail, so no other option. It did not have a hole in it but had several broken top braces requiring repair. Your finish repair looked really good from video. It is always worth restoring an instrument to life if you know how. She doesn't have to be pretty, just sing like an angel. I am not a pro luthier , I try to find and restore old Japan made or USA instruments. Many from pawn shops or yard sales. I would still take a high value instrument to a REAL luthier if needed or beyond my skill or risk tolerance, but these I work on are often a zero or low value starting point so no harm if I fail really. I got this 12 string for <$100 in a pawn shop. At most worth $500-600 all restored. Not worth paying to have done. But fun to do myself and then play. You gave her a new life for another few generations. Great job Buck.

So did I waste my money upgrading a L Paul studio? Bought it with 496/500 Gibson pups and straplocks. Ebony w/ gold trim, ebony fretboard. Changed pots to CTS 500K, Garrett cloth wire in 50's style, Switchcraft switch and jack, Tonespro locking bridge , alum tailpiece, Tusc XL nut, Kluson locking tuners. All told about $450-500 in parts. I did the assembly and had a repair guy set the intonation. All this before pandemic.
