Yes it does if it's medium red clover. Some other clovers do not come back. Medium Red Clover will come back every spring for several years. Generally you can get 2 seasons of seed off the crop before the stand starts getting to thin.

Yes eventually it will erode the soil since your cultivating probably 4 times in a growing season, that is a lot of pressure on the soil

In Oregon valley where they grow most of the clover seed in the USA they will never straight cut it to my knowledge. You will have issues with the harvest like you are having straight cutting. I'm guessing you are putting more seed out the back in those Green balls than you may realize. I've heard of guys in Wisconsin just letting everything freeze in late fall and than straight cutting it but they are only averaging 150lbs an acre which is significantly less than the guys who swath it late august or early September. You can do a burn down if your not organic. When we swath it the machine has drapers, no augers, no crimpers. Some guys experimenting around on small acres will use a haybine and open up the conditioner all the way and gently blow it through. I would suggest doing it in a heavy dew or light rain. Remember it's ok to get a inch of rain on your swath but at this time of year it's almost impossible for the swath to dry 100% perfect. After 7 or 10 days when it is mostly dry just Combine it and it won't come out as clean but I think you will still get more seed. Most times when the swath is damp you need to run some air on the seed in the gravity boxes or put landscape fabric over your grain bin vented floor and run the air. Clover harvesting is a pain and that's why they do it out west where it sunny with no rain in the summer. In Wisconsin or the midewest we need to break the rules :) you will need to too-

Yes, we are certified organic in the USA and Canada. Potash is a natural mined rock as well as lime, sulfate, magnesium, boron and the list goes on. Organic farms can use all of these as long as they are in their natural state (not processed) and their soil test shows they are needed. It must be (OMRI) listed. Things we can't use are GMO seed, no pesticide, no herb aside, no synthetic fertilizers (usually nitrogen products like urea). No manure if it's treated with a chemical that is not approved. Our corn fields get about 80 unites of potash, 25 unites of sulfate, 3,000 lb of chicken manure and a plow down of red clover. Boron and lime are added based on soil reports. Generally to grow corn in the usa we spend abot 175.000 per acre just in Fertalizers / Manure. 75.00 in seed per acre. Make a total of 8 passes. 2 row cultivates generally will do the job for weed control. As a rule of thumb if your going to just toss seed in the ground with no fertalizer you will never make any money. Your first year you may get lucky but by year three you will have lost everything.

50% of our budget on inputs (nutrients), 20% on leases (land we don't own), 20% on seed, 10% fuel and repairs. New equipment we only buy on years we have excellent growing season and this is considered equity. Profits 300.00 per acre on average year. On a good year we may make over 500.00 per acre profit. On a very bad year we will break even or only make $100.00 per acre profit. Generally, we find organic farming you net about double per acre as you do conventional. You can farm half the land and not have so much large equipment therefore a little less risk of breakdown and needed employees. However, organic farming has its own challenges. When you mess up a field with weed control it may be a total loss for that year or even the following year. You can't always go to the chemistry set to fix the problem you need to use nature against itself. There is a much steeper learning curve and most organic farmers lose a lot of money their first couple of years so don't think the grass is greener on the other side@@destroyedsoul1791

Yes the stem can be green but the flowers should be dark brown. On a hot dry day if you rub the brown flower between your hands the seed will come out. If the seed comes out it's viable. the seed will be Yellowish or purple. It is important to remember Red Clover can have "hard seed" Many times 25% of the seed can be of this category. This means the hard seed will only germaniate after it freezes. So if your tossing red clover on the ground and it seems like the stand should be better often it improves in the spring when the hard seed germinates.

Can I use venigar salt and dishwashing as my herbicide in my garden? Is there's no bad effect in veggies even after a week before planting?

Organic Farming 0 seconds ago These fields did not have bee's on but bee's are ideal and will increase yield. However, honey bee people don't like putting honey bee's on red clover because they say it's hard to get nectar out of plant however they do still pollinate so it does help the farmer but may not largely increase honey. We rely primarily on wild bumble bees but are doing some trials on leaf cutter bee's as they work better than honey bee's (we think) those trials are still in progress. All Clover farms In Canada I'm told use Honey bee's because the climate is not great for natural pollinators. organic mulch would work better. easy to manage. all need is mulch. mulch helps to maitain temperature. even hot weather won't affect and other advantage of mulch it saves alot of water from evaporating.

We cannot get any corn if we don't row cultivate. Generally speaking, we need to row cultivate about 14 days after planting and then again about 1 month after planting. On really weedy fields we will run 3 times and make sure we change the pass direction
