TTI RR Paris Maysville, Ky June, 1993
In June, 1993, I make my first trip to Paris,, Kentucky to capture some footage on the TTI U28B's. In this part 1 video, the movie starts at Maysville, Kentucky as I had arrived too late to get the northbound train leaving Paris, so i am just driving around Maysville trying to find the northbound arriving and I hear this train coming over a trestle pushing it's train. It's a EMD switcher which looks like a MP15 but not sure. Couldn't read any markings on it. If anybody knows what this line is, please feel free to add the info. I have several scenes of this train. Polar Express 2018 Lincoln Anoka, Indiana

2018 was the final year that the Polar Express was run from Kokomo to Anoka, Indiana. This was short lived as it only ran for two years. Ont these trips in November 24, 25th, They started the runs at Lincoln, Indiana instead of Kokomo to Lincoln. But they extended the run further north to Anoka. Thanks for watching. Just a few days after the release of the Tennessee, Alabama & Georgia (TAG) NS Heritage 4851, we capture it on NS 120 from Kansas City to Detroit running on the NS Lafayette District. It was a late in the day cloudy and getting short on daylight, but we manged a few shots of her as she works her way towards the end of the crew;s run at Peru, Indiana. I just found your vlog and will be subscribing after I finish this comment. I have lived all my life within a few miles of this rail line. My distant ancestor, with the same name, was the assistant road foreman of the Ft. Wayne district for the Pennsylvania Railroad Chicago to Crestline, OH line. According to an article in the December, 1941 Popular Mechanics Magazine he clocked “The Gargantua” PRR #6100 going 133.4 mph, as it traveled from Wanatah to Hannah. I would love to have the opportunity to travel this stretch of rail. Thank you for sharing your videos.

All but closed at one time but now it looks like there might be business for it again.

Is the indianapolis and bellefountaine line go through lima and elida? Or was it a but further south?
No it goes through Muncie, Ansonia, Sidney, Bellefontain and onto Marion, Ohio. Yes further south. Lima and Elida is the CF&E ex PRR Ft. Wayne Line. Also the I&O and CSX Toledo Sub go north and south through Lima.
As always, so much good stuff here. Love to see the old EMD power alongside the brand new GEs. The CSX Dash 8s looked super fresh... beautiful new K5Hs on them too.

Oh my god I believe that’s me walking behind the Conrail train at 10:16 in the video. I was 9 years old. I was raised in Marion and lived with two sets of grandparents. One lived at 29th Branson right by the tracks and the other lived at 2224 Branson right by the tracks. I used to walk back and forth all the time on those tracks. Each set of grandparents lived on opposite ends of the old Essex building. This is amazing, you are bringing me back so many Conrail memories. I remember seeing the hobos often as a kid. I even used to climb on top of the covered hopper cars and play on them. I pretty much lived on those tracks growing up. My name is Jeremy Shelton. Thankyou so much for this ❤
Do you have any footage of the Redkey line running through Hartford City? I remember the railroad crossing across IN-3 being intact, and fascinated by the crossing signals on all four corners of the intersection.
I remember that Christmas eve dumping quite a bit of snow. Great as always, and some nice horns in this one (maybe aside from the Conrail at the start). Horn on 9025 was perfect for the weather for some reason.

Awesome shot at 8:36, I love the alternating heights on the coal hoppers. Also crazy that you caught an ex-EL SD45-2. There's a chance you could've seen that same unit at Huntington way back in the day.

No it was pretty busy until the west bounds got backed up and couldn't get into the yards. So we left and hit the CSX.
1st train with an absolute rare sd45-2, heck of a catch...
