Iconic "Bintz Swimming Pool" (Troy, NY)
❤
It's looking so old and decrepit. I hope they can repair all the damage and get it looking like new again. I'm sure the right people could pull it off. What's good about is, Most of it is ok, it's just the damaged parts that need fixed, then the whole thing painted. A new pump, filtration system, and fix up the building a bit. I'm sure it needs whole new bathrooms. Have they ever estimated how much it would cost? I'm probably way low, but I was guessing 3 million. I'm probably way off, aren't I?
Nice pool
It was a great place back in the day, loved going there as a kid. Very sad
Its only slightly larger than some of the potholes in Troy . Great video thank you !
Thanks to the new mayor, I have seen the city addressing that problem.
Looks like a war zone with all the fence material and chipped concrete.
The sad, declining state of North America, in general.
Thank you that was interesting I would like to see what it looks like inside
To be continued... Part II Coming Soon!
I'd like to metal detect the grounds.
Not sure if that is allowed but you would probably find some interesting things. The park opened in 1903 and before that there were two mansions on the property. Warren Mansion and the Vail House.
Rules? What rules?
That is so sad
The city of Troy seems to let all of its treasures deteriorate beyond repair.
@@TrojanWarrior518 That's going on all over the USA. In Europe it's unheard of, they build things to last & keep everything clean. I see you are a brand new channel, is this going to be your main focus? I love old school stuff. Still driving a 1980 Buick, sole owner, won't even mess with these newer cars!
@@alanmorris1828 Buick makes a solid vehicle. This channel will have more content eventually, primarily geared towards old relics, industrial ruins and hidden treasures in and around urban areas, that a lot of people don't even know exist.
@@TrojanWarrior518 Oh that sounds lovely! BTW you're speaking with a woman, I'm an old tomboy who loves what you just described. Room mate & I share this phone, no need to go into that now LOL. You are in NY, right, or somewhere else?
Of course, it never occurred to the morons running the city to PRIVATIZE it by selling it and it's curtilage to some investors. Oh, and imagine my shock to discover some worthless public employees collecting a paycheck while doing nothing.
I could make an entire video of city employees as well as police officers sitting in their vehicles for hours, maybe someday.
@@TrojanWarrior518 We're the most over-policed and under-protected State in the allegedly "free" Western World.
Nice tour 👍
Thanks! 👍
The entire park is looking "Peter Grimm" these days.
