how do I replace manny with mixamo characters? I really cant get my head wrapped around retargeting.
You ideally don't want to replace Manny, as all the player controller and blueprint in Unreal are using it for the third-person player. If you still want to use the Mixamo characters, you can download their mesh and the animations you want to use, and then start importing them into UE. After that, you will need to build all the blueprint for the player character, handle the inputs, and create the animation blueprint for different actions like walking, running, jumping, etc.
@@Auleek Yeah, what i did is downloaded mixamo mesh and animations and used mixamo converter on them. imported them creating a skeleton from mixamo char. duplicated the abp_manny and replaced the animations and adjusted the blueprint so that there were no errors. Thank you for the answer!

I'd love to buy a vr home for my VR character to interact with. if possible if you could make this to where a person can upload their VR characters and use that to interact with the envirnment and record thier characters in as well with the new body tracking technology; you may have a new window of frenchise possble as I'm sure many Vtubers,etc would love to have them.
