I too have used this solution and it works, but you have to remember that a battery capacity reduces as it ages. This reduces its capacity too, so the resulting battery MAY have a poor performance. Still it might get you a little more life from an old battery.
Thanks for your video with the great tip!! Haven’t used my nailer in a few years, and thought I had to buy a new battery. You saved me a lot of hassle.
Thanks for the hot tip! I have two chargers and had two dead batteries, still flashing red/green after more than an hour. I didn't have a car charger handy, but I did have a charger meant for AA, AAA, 18650 cells, etc. I think it could only go to 4.2V or something. I tried that for about 5 minutes, it seemed to be adding bars of charge, but then on the Paslode charger---flashing still. But I noticed it seemed to "hesitate" briefly on red, so I tried taking it off, back on, off, back on...about the 5th time, solid red. Repeated on #2, same thing. Both have been charging for almost an hour. Can't say I know how this is working, but try what you have, and try this variation too until it works.
Thanks for this video. My brand new 7.4 volt battery was DOA. With your help, I was able to juice it up enough where the charger recognized it. Thanks again, greatly appreciated.
Was about to a throw my old Battery out and did buy another battery for my Paselode angled finish nailer.tried your method and brought my old battery back to life .Thankyou for the heads up on how to fix .Batteries are around $75 plus tax in my area ok
Ordered 2 new batteries for my Paslode Framing guns before I saw this video. tried it on my "DEAD" batteries and this trick fixed both of them. now I will have extra batteries for long work days. thank you.
Hey just want to say a HUGE thanks for this, it worked on a battery I have not used for over a year the charger was just doing nothing with both green and red lights on at the same time. I tried this and literally after 2 mins on my car charger @ 6v I put it back into the Paslode charger and it worked first time. You have just saved me from a 90 mile round trip to the shop, £60.00 and I can continue working on my project without losing time or money. Top man...
This is my papa, thank you for Liking and subscribing!! I am trying to get more videos out I’ve just been busy doing nothing😆 Thank you for your support!
I found the knock off batteries on Amazon, thought they wouldn't be any good but I was wrong. Work just like paslode batteries maybe better! They are 3600 mh and I only paid 11.99 each bought two and they work great. Where I live these paslode batteries are 75.00 each big savings. I have 5 paslode guns and will be buying more now I know how good they work! Thx for your video sometime this works.
i read in the manual that when both red and green lights are flashing, leave it in the charger for 20 minutes and it will eventually recognize it and start the charge
thanks for the tip, when i place my battery into the charger currently it flashes from red to green so I'm guessing that this is what you do to bring it back to life ???? cheers wes
I have brought some back to life by short circuiting the battery, using a 12v battery I connected - to positive on both sides for about 30 seconds...... Of course wear saftey stuff....then charge..... it worked for 2 that I had that were dead and a year later they are still working
Unreal Genius Proven 100% Works Thank You!!!
