Hey! Raglan is such an incredible town-it's hard to put into words how amazing this place is! It's a top spot for surfers, so if you’re into surfing, it’s a must-see. If you're in Hamilton and looking for a scenic, not-too-challenging hike, I’d definitely recommend Pukemokemoke Bush Reserve-it has some amazing views! For a relaxing spot with plenty of nature to enjoy, Taitua Arboretum is a favorite! Hellooo! I highly recommend this track-I've done it several times, and it never disappoints. The views are incredible, and it’s an easy, enjoyable walk. Thank you for watching :) As of June 2024, I do not recommend completing the entire loop of the Mount Taupiri Track. Instead, it is better to hike up clockwise to the top and return the same way. The anti-clockwise route is overgrown, difficult, and poorly maintained, making it less enjoyable. The clockwise route should provide a better experience. I grew up in the 60s and 70s , spending lazy summer holidays at a family friends place at Stanmore bay. Left NZ in 1984, went back in 2017 and drove up to Whangaparoa and Stanmore bay, hardly new the place it had changed so much, not so many of the cheap family holiday homes any more.
