My main focus as an artist is what I like to call 'Cinematic Bass Music', a mix of influences from deep, dark cinematic soundtracks and heavy underground bass music, with special attention on sound design and sonic explorations.

Tracktion BioTek 3 - HydraTek Factory Presets Showcase
I had the amazing opportunity to contribute to the factory content of BioTek 3, the latest iteration of the highly expressive and performative powerhouse synth from Tracktion.
I wanted each preset to tell a story on its own, to feel like an instrument in its own right (presets in BioTek are indeed called 'instruments').
To many of them, I also mapped each of the controls found on the Perform page for endless sonic exploration (in addition to the XY pad and mod wheel).
The synth is fantastic for designing complex, hybrid sounds with an organic texture underneath (hence the name of the synth). Version 3 reveals a modern, polished interface with a clean, Easy mode, with just essential parameters shown to tweak the final patch.
As the video showcase suggests, the synth is also perfect for live improvisation and performance since each patch can go in unknown directions.
My goal as a sound designer, as always, is to inspire other artists by offering them my sound aesthetic and leaving the freedom to tailor the settings to their own tastes.

@@spaceiswater6539 thanks for the wonderful comment! Everything in BioTek can be mapped to external controllers, for ease during recording I just used the mouse but indeed having so many options (especially in the perform page) it’s better to have a proper MIDI mapping setup

Very good sound design. Mapping the macro knobs to the right paramaters is a skill and you are great at it 😊. The hybrid sounds are very unique. Bass - To The Edge pushes serum to new places ive never heard. Keys - Peaceful is FIRE 🔥

It’s actually a sort of multi-effect, where you have a granular engine with three modes and a bunch of effects like filter, delay, chorus, phaser and two very nice reverbs
What you did with that Sequence Builder preset in the demo is super cool. So cinematic.

I think this is one of those rare soundsets that fully grasps and employs the full potential of the instrument. And with Pigments, that is a lot of potential! Plus, it's dark, angular and dangerous, so I love it!
