My suggestion would be to continue job and still work on your skills, it will take longer but it would be the easiest one. In case, you can manage uncertainty and ambiguity for future roles, you can take time and make projects. I did it once, but it was incredibly frustrating and I will never do it again.

Yes, You need to cover it up in exams and assignments. It all gets added up to the overall marks. passing mark = best of quizes + best of assignments + mid-sem + final sem

Consulting companies tends to pay little lower than products here. But I would aim for 70K+ with visa sponsorship. Also check - what is more important for you - getting a high salary with a risk of offer or moving to NL with a reasonable salary and then looking into market for a correction.

It may be also worth mentioning that I have some Linux Knowledge, which I have used to help a few freelancing clients to set up servers and configure applications and websites. I would love to leave my current web developer role for a cloud engineer role if I happen to get the opportunity.

So, you can search few hot AI topics on internet and then filtered the idea based on - 1) can you collect the data for this idea/problem in public domain? 2) can it be solved in 1 semester? 3) is it possible to have UI functionality for this problem as UI adds lot of value. start with an industry use case - healthcare/ finance This is how I did.

Hello, thats correct, as far as I am aware, it is overall for avg. of all previous semesters . And if you have lower in one, it doesn’t matter , they will calculate avg of all previous semesters but you must make overall (avg of all 3 semesters) more than 5.5 before 4th semester.

Hello, this degree is heavily focused on Data science and machine learning. It get into more details about how AI model works. I am not sure if it will help a lot from data engineering side.

P.S I am a good learner but not sure what industry is looking for and would they be open to accommodate a profile like me.

My recommendation would be to stick to the data engineering and get into a data engineering role. It is a bigger market and easier to do transition from your current profile. Once you are in, you can add DS/ML as additional skills. Data engineering + one cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure). I am not saying you CAN NOT do data science. I am recommending a path which has the optimal value and lowers your risk. let me know your thoughts.
