This fellow reminds me of me. I mean, just the way he lets that guitar slide when he finds a groove. He and I are probably two of the most underrated guitar players in Vermont and Maine. Ask Nick Losito,. He will tell you the same. Nick is a damn guitarist as well, in the Burlington , Vermont area.

I play “I stole the right to live” every morning for the past 2 weeks since the bastard developer came to demolish the little house on the other side of the fence that was born in 1912. Michael’s tunes stop my crying.

What's the tuning?

This guy would’ve made it big, back in the 60’s, if he had not been plagued with health issues; he’s fantastic.

I dig that it kind of sounds like he's making this song up as he goes.

20 years ago this man's music came into my life via one song and it set me off on a long journey with just the right sound. Thankyou Michael.

Still sounding awesome! No-one sounds like Michael Hurley. He's got a unique guitar style and hits those falsetto notes effortlessly. I saw him play in Edinburgh in the '90's I think. I sat down in the audience and to my surprise, the guy sitting to my left was Michael Hurley. I came to the show because his music was magical to me and he was a sort of mythical figure in my imagination. My brain squirmed with confusion lol. He was cool though and the show was great. It was at the Bongo Club.

When I get back home, I'm going to listen to this 1 more time
